The biography:

The kind reception which the queen of Sweden had met with in France, made her pay it a second visit, in the year 1657. It was in this journey that she caused Monaldeschi, her principal attendant, to be assassinated in the gallery of Fontainebleau. That murder, which she would have had pass as the just punishment of a criminal, disgusted every one. Besides, the courtiers disliked the company of a woman who dressed like a man, and the severity of whose mind rejected all pleasantry. If any one attempted to amuse her with humorous tales or anecdotes, she would ironically praise him, by saying, "You have a good memory, Sir!"
