The letter:

Ne manquez pourtant pas de la presser, comme de vous-même, pour savoir quelle en sera la conclusion. Vous insisterez de-même à la Cour où vous êtes, pour avoir des Lettres dans la forme que je les souhaite, tant pour le Roi de Dannemarc, que pour cette Ville-ci.

Tâchez d'en parler au Roi-même, qui ayant des inclinations & des idées glorieuses, & personnellement beaucoup d'affection pour moi, je m'assure qu'il me favorisera de toute son ame, & qu'il lui sera agréable, que comme je me suis portée à cette entreprise par moi-même, de même il voudra volontiers que j'y réussisse moyenant son entremise & son autorité.

Vous avez bien fait d'avoir tenu jusqu'ici cette affaire secrette au Chevalier Terlon. Je m'assure pourtant, que comme je lui ai remarqué beaucoup de zéle pour notre Religion, je crois qu'il embrassera avec ferveur cette Négociation, en cas qu'il y fût employé pour la Cour de Dannemarc, & y étant je le conduirois bien à mes intentions. &c.

English translation (my own):

However, do not fail to press it, as yourself, to know what will be the conclusion. You will also insist at the Court where you are, to have letters in the form I wish them, both for the King of Denmark and for this city.

Try to speak of it to the King himself, who, having glorious inclinations and ideas, and personally much affection for me, I ensure that he will favour me with all his soul, and that it will be agreeable to him that, as I have undertaken this enterprise on my own, he will gladly wish me to succeed by means of his intervention and his authority.

You have done well to keep this matter a secret to the Chevalier de Terlon so far. I ensure, however, that as I have noticed in him great zeal for our religion, I believe that he will embrace this negotiation with fervour, in case he is employed there for the Court of Denmark, and being there I will lead him well to my intentions. Etc.
