Comme je n'ai pas ici d'autre occasion d'apporter à la mémoire de Votre Sainteté ma très haute et très constante dévotion, je réfléchis à ce que m'offre le prochain Noël sacro-saint du Rédempteur pour lui donner quelque reconnaissance dans les vœux de prospérités que j'aspire continuellement pour Votre Sainteté. Qu'elle daigne, comme je l'en supplie, accepter avec bienveillance dans cette charge les sentiments de mon âme très obséquieuse envers Votre Béatitude, tandis que je baise pour un fin ses très saints pieds en toute humilité.

Eftersom jag inte har något annat tillfälle här att till minne av Ers Helighet min högsta och mest ständiga hängivenhet, funderar jag på vad nästa heliga Återlösarens jul erbjuder mig för att ge den ett visst erkännande i önskningarna om de välstånd som jag ständigt längtar efter för Ers Helighet. Må Ni värda Er, som jag ber Er, att i detta ämbete välvilligt acceptera min mest oberäkneliga själs känslor gentemot Ers Salighet, medan jag slutligen kysser Era allraheligaste fötter med all ödmjukhet.

As I have no other occasion here to bring to the memory of Your Holiness my highest and most constant devotion, I am considering what the next sacrosanct Christmas of the Redeemer offers me to give it some recognition in the wishes for those prosperities which continually I long for to Your Holiness. May you deign, as I beseech you, to most benignly accept in this office the sentiments of my most obsequious soul towards Your Beatitude, while I finally kiss your most holy feet with all humility.

Comme je n'ai pas d'autre occasion ici de rappeler à Votre Sainteté ma dévotion complète et constante, je profite de celle que m'offre le prochain Très Saint Noël du Rédempteur pour vous adresser mes vœux de prospérité que je souhaite continuellement à Votre Sainteté.
