Čula sam to sa veseljem koje zaslužuje osvajanje takve posledice, i zavidim [...] koji nađe da sa toliko slave doprinosi junačkom akcijama. Note: The siege of Belgrade was a successful attempt by Habsburg troops under the command of the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II Emmanuel, to capture the city of Belgrade from the Ottoman Empire. Part of the Great Turkish War (1683-1699), the siege lasted a month and culminated in the capture of the city on August 27/September 6 (New Style), 1688. By conquering Belgrade, Habsburg forces gained an important strategic outpost, as the city had been the Ottomans' chief fortress in Europe for more than a century and a half. The Ottomans recaptured the city just two years later, in October 1690. In 1693, Habsburg forces attempted to capture Belgrade again, but failed.

Io partecipo di questa gran vittoria con quei senti di giubilo che richiede l'affetto cordiale col quale mi professo interessata nelle felicità della Vostra Maestà Cesarea, e conseguentemente in quella della cristianità; che Dio le accrescavi e più con prosperi successi. Rendo però alla Maestà Vostra Cesarea vivisse grazie delle affettuose espressioni ch'ella m'ha fatte in questa occasione; e, rimettendomi a quelle che le farà da mia parte il medesimo conte, mi confermo, ecc.

Par la lettre de Votre Majesté Impériale, qui m'a été renvoyée par le comte della Torre, et par sa vive voix, j'ai reçu une information distincte de la valeur glorieuse avec laquelle les armes de Votre Majesté Impériale ont occupé la très importante place de Belgrade, où en vérité le sérénissime électeur de Bavière s'est immortalisé.

Je participe à cette grande victoire avec les sentiments de jubilation que requiert la cordiale affection avec laquelle je me déclare intéressée à la félicité de Votre Majesté Impériale, et par conséquent à celle de la chrétienté; que Dieu les augmente d'autant plus de succès prospères. Cependant, je remercie vivement Votre Majesté Impériale des expressions affectueuses qu'elle m'a adressées en cette occasion; et, m'en remettant à celles que le même comte fera de ma part, je me confirme, etc.

Iz pisma Vašeg Carskog Veličanstva, koje mi je vratio grof dela Tore, i iz njegovog sopstvenog glasa, dobila sam jasne podatke o slavnoj hrabrosti kojom je oružja Vašeg Carskog Veličanstva zauzela veoma značajno mesto u Beogradu, gde je, istina, ovekovečio sebe Najsvetiji Izbornik Bavarske.

Učestvujem u ovoj velikoj pobedi sa onim osećanjima radosti koja zahteva srdačna naklonost sa kojom se izjašnjavam da sam zainteresovana za sreću Vašeg Carskog Veličanstva, a samim tim i za sreću hrišćanskog sveta; neka ih Bog još više uveća uspešnim uspesima. U međuvremenu, Vašem Carskom Veličanstvu najsrdačnije se zahvaljujem za ljubazne izraze koje ste mi uputili ovom prilikom; i, prepuštajući se onima koje će isti grof učiniti u moje ime, potvrđujem se kao itd.
Ovo je u redu.

Från Ers Kejserliga Majestäts brev, som har återlämnats till mig av greven della Torre, och från hans egen röst, har jag fått tydliga besked om den härliga tapperhet med vilken Ers Kejserliga Majestäts vapen har intagit den mycket viktiga platsen Belgrad, där i sanning den durchlauchtigste kurfursten av Bayern har förevigat sig själv.

Jag deltar i denna stora seger med de glädjekänslor som den hjärtliga tillgivenhet med vilken jag bekänner mig intresserad av Er Kejserliga Majestäts lycka, och följaktligen i kristenhetens, kräver; må Gud öka dem desto mer med välmående framgångar. Emellertid tackar jag Ers Kejserliga Majestät på det livligaste för de tillgivna uttryck som Ni har gjort till mig vid detta tillfälle; och efterlämnar mig själv till dem som samme greven kommer att göra på mina vägnar, bekräftar jag mig själv som osv.

From Your Imperial Majesty's letter, which has been returned to me by the Count della Torre, and from his own voice, I have received distinct information of the glorious valour with which Your Imperial Majesty's arms have occupied the very important place of Belgrade, where in truth the Most Serene Elector of Bavaria has immortalised himself.

I participate in this great victory with those feelings of jubilation that the cordial affection with which I profess myself interested in the felicity of Your Imperial Majesty, and consequently in that of Christendom, requires; may God increase them all the more with prosperous successes. In the meantime, I give to Your Imperial Majesty most vivid thanks for the affectionate expressions that you have made to me on this occasion; and, remitting myself to those that the same Count will make on my behalf, I confirm myself as, etc.
