"Cependant la Reine donna ordre au Sr. de Rosembac son Grand-Baillif de Poméranie, d'y aller & de s'acquiter en son nom des complimens de condoléance sur la mort de l'Electeur, & de félicitation sur l'avénement du Fils à la Régence, & l'avoit chargé de présenter cette Lettre écrite en Italien, & traduite ici."
"In the meantime, the Queen gave orders to Lord von Rosenbach, her grand bailiff of Pomerania, to go there and to pay in her name the compliments of condolence on the death of the Elector, and of congratulations on the accession of his son to the regency, and she had charged him to present this letter written in Italian, and it is translated here."

E. può ben comprendersi dalla stretta congiunzione del Sangue, e molto più dal reciproco affetto, che passaua trà di Noi. Jo però mi consolo grandem[ent]e in veder dalle espress[io]ni fattemi di V A. Emellertid är jag oändligt glad över att se genom uttrycken från Ers Kurfurstliga Höghet i denna sorgliga händelse att Ni vill reparera denna förlust genom att försäkra mig om att vilja lyckas med samma känslor för mig. Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals in the early modern era, kings, queens and other rulers considered themselves siblings; when talking to someone of a lower rank than their own, they would refer to that person as "my cousin", regardless of whether or not they were related. Although Kristina was a blood cousin of the Elector on her mother's side of the family, she chose to address him as "brother".
