... La Reine Christine de Suede, si distinguée par son amour pour les grands talens, vint voir le Guerchin à son passage en cette ville [Bologne], elle lui tendit la main, prit la sienne en lui disant, qu'elle vouloit toucher une main qui operoit de si belles choses.

... La reine Christine de Suède, si distinguée par son amour pour les grands talents, vint voir le Guerchin à son passage en cette ville [Bologne]. Elle lui tendit la main, prit la sienne en lui disant qu'elle voulait toucher une main qui operait de si belles choses.
Swedish translation (my own):
... Drottning Kristina av Sverige, så utmärkt av sin kärlek till stora talanger, kom för att träffa Guercino när hon reste genom denna stad [Bologna]. Hon sträckte ut sin hand till honom och tog hans och sa till honom att hon ville röra vid en hand som skapade så vackra saker.
English translation (my own):
... Queen Kristina of Sweden, so distinguished by her love for great talents, came to see Guercino when she passed through this city [Bologna]. She held out her hand to him and took his, telling him that she wanted to touch a hand that worked such beautiful things.

Note: Barbieri's nickname of "Guercino" literally means "Squinty", derived from the Italian noun "guercio", meaning "squinter". He got the nickname in childhood for being cross-eyed, and he used his left eye more than his right eye.
