Ne sachant point où vous vous trouviez, nous n'avons pu répondre aux lettres de Votre Seigneurie datées de Milan, de Venise et enfin d'Inspruck, non plus qu'à celle que Don Bonifacio a écrite de Bologne. Elles ont toutes apporté beaucoup de consolation au signor Amiano. Nous avons confiance qu'avec l'aide de Dieu, vous êtes maintenant arrivés au terme de votre voyage et que vous avez mis la main aux affaires.
Quoi qu'il en soit, je ne puis m'empêcher de vous faire part de la grande joie que nous a causée à tous l'élection de notre nouveau consul le signor Alessandro G., bien connu de don Bonifacio. Elle a eu lieu le 21 de ce mois, et nous espérons, qu'elle sera avantageuse pour le bien de notre famille et tout spécialement pour le succès de vos affaires auxquelles il s'intéresse de tout cœur. Il écrit de sa main à Don Théophile, mais il ne signe que par ses initiales, dans la crainte que sa lettre ne s'égare. Utan att veta var Ni var kunde vi inte svara på Ers Herrskaps brev från Milano, Venedig och slutligen Innsbruck, inte heller på det som don Bonifacio skrev från Bologna. De har alla givit stor tröst till signor Amiano. Vi litar på att Ni med Guds hjälp nu har nått slutet av Er resa och har lagt händerna på ärenden.
