Nos Christina Dei gratia Suecorum, Gothorum, Vandalorumq; regina, &c. notum testatumq; facimus quod cum e re communi mutuaq; nostri et regni nostri, deniq; Olivarii domini protectoris reipublicæ Angliæ, Scotiæ, et Hiberniæ, suarurumq; ditionum nostri boni amici dictæq; reipublicæ sit; ut antiqua illa amicitia et consuetudo quæ huic regno cum iis nationibus perpetuo intercessit, conservetur, abaugeaturq; imprimis vero ut libertas commerciorum ac navigationis, sarta tecta et illibata mancat; atq; illius rei gratia prædictus dominus protector et respublica, legatum suum extraordinarium ad nos mittere voluerit: proinde in mandatis dedimus, ut et hisce in optima forma mandamus et committimus, illustrissimus nobis sincere fidelibus et dilectis, domino Axelio Oxenstiernæ nostro regniq; Sueciæ senatoris cancellario, &c. deniq; domino Erico Oxenstiernæ Axelii, itidem nostro regniq; Sueciæ senatori, &c. ut cum ante nominato legato et plenipotentiario, de incundo supra prædictis rebus aliisq; huic pertinentibus fœdere tractent, statuant, et concludant. Swedish translation (my own; Swedish speakers please feel free to point out any mistakes; and for the sake of near-faithfulness to the era, I have used some archaic words and grammar, the words can easily be found in Svenska Akademiens Ordbok):

Vi Kristina, med Guds nåd, Sveriges, Götes och Vendes Drottning, osv., gör vetterligt, att såsom det är ett gemensamma och mutuella intresset för oss och vårt rike, liksom för Oliver, protektoren till republiken England, Skottland och Irland, och deras dominium, vår gode vän, och för den bemälda republiken, att den gamla vänskapen och alliansen som alltid har existerat mellan detta rike och dessa nationer konserveras och ökas; och särskilt att friheten att handla och navigera fortsätter att vara omankerad och oförringad; och fördenskull har de bemälda herrarna, protektoren och republiken varit kontenta att skicka sin extraordinära legat till oss. Därför har vi befallit, och med detta brev, i bästa form, befaller vi och förbinder vi oss till den högbörne, oss tro och älsklige man, herr Axel Oxenstierna, vår och riket Sveriges osv. rikskanslern och senator, ock till herr Erik Axelsson Oxenstierna, likaledes vår och riket Sveriges osv. senator, att de trakterar, statuerar och konkluderar med den bemälde legaten och befullmäktigade om att etablera ett förbund rörande de bemälda sakerna och andra saker hörande därtill. Därför skall våra bemälda befullmäktigade kommissarier agera, konkludera och statuera med den bemälde legaten, skall vi ratificera och bekräfta det samma i kraft av detta brev; till yttermera visso har vi befallit detta brev, underskrivit med vår hand, att bekräftas med vårt stora rikets sekret. Givit i vårt slott i Uppsala, den 14 mars, i året 1654.

We Christina, by the grace of God, queen of Swedes, Gothes, and Vandalls, &c. doe make knowne and testify, that, whereas it is the common and mutuall interest of us and our kingdome, as also of Oliver lord protector of the commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland, and the dominions therof, our good friend, and of the said commonwealth, that the antient friendship and alliance which hath alwayes bin between this kingdome and those nations be conserved and increased; and especially that the freedome of commerce and navigation doe continue straightly conformed and uninterrupted; and for that cause the forsayd lords, protector, and commonwealth have bin pleased to send their extraordinary ambassador unto us: therfore, we have commaunded, and doe by these presents, in the best forme, commaund and commit unto the most illustrious, our sincerely faithfull and beloved, the lord Axelius Oxenstierna, chancellor and senator of us, and the kingdome of Sweden, &c., and also to lord Eric Oxenstierna, of Axelius, likewise a senator of us, and of the kingdom of Sweden, &c., that they doe treat, agree, and conclude with the before-named ambassadore and plenipotentiary about the making of a league concerning the foresaid matters, and other things therunto pertaining. Whatsoever therfore, our said plenipotentiary commissioners shall act, conclude, and appoint with the before-named ambassadore, we shall hold the same ratifyed and confirmed by force of these presents; in wittnes, and strengthening whereof, we have commaunded these presents, subscribed with our hand, to be corroborated with our great seale of the kingdome. Given in our castle of Upsale, the fourteenth day of March, in the yeare one thousand six hundred fifty and fower.
