"The magazine reproduces how Christina receives Hercules' club by her father Gustav II Adolf, carried by Jupiter's eagle, while Fame engraves the book title on a podium. At the same time, the image can be said to be characteristic of the first of the two portraits of Christina created by Bourdon, probably in late autumn 1652."
