Quoniam Celsitudo tua hodiè per Dei gratiam complet annum quadragesimum primum, in animum igitur induxi meum exiguâ hâc oratiunculâ Celsitudini tuæ gratulari, simulque Deo Optimo Maximo gratias agere, quod Celsitudinem tuam tam clementer hactenus conservaverit, eundemque illum ex toto corde precari, ut Celsitudinem tuam multos adhuc annos prosperâ cum valitudine, mihi auxilio, miseris pupillis solatio, regno huic ornamento, & omnibus bonis præsidio, superesse velit.

Durchlauchtigster und Vortrefflichster Prinz, Geliebtester Vetter.
Da Ew. Hoheit heute durch Gottes Gnäde Ihr ein und vierzigstes Jahr vollenden: so habe ich mich entschlossen Ew. Hoheit durch diese kleine Rede Glück zu wünschen, dabey aber dem höchsten und gütigsten Gott zu danken, daß er Ew. Hoheit bisher so gnädig erhalten hat, und ihn von ganzem Herzen zu bitten, daß er Ew. Hoheit noch viele Jahre bey guter Gesundheit, mir zur Hülfe, elenden Waisen zum Troste, diesem Königreiche zur Zierde und allen Rechtschaffenen zum Schutze, leben lassen wolle.

Durchlauchtigaste och förträffligaste Prins, mest älskade frände,
Eftersom Ers Kärlighet idag, genom Guds nåd, fyller fyrtio år, har jag därför fått mig att tro att detta kräver ett litet tal från mig för att gratulera Ers Kärlighet och samtidigt att tacka Gud den Högste att Ers Kärlighet gjordes ett sådant förbarmande, ty hittills har han bevarat Er; och samtidigt att be honom av hela mitt hjärta att Ers Kärlighet kommer att njuta av många års god hälsa för att ge mig, ett miserabelt, föräldralöst barn, hjälp och tröst i detta kungarikes prydnad och försvaret av alla goda saker, må Ni överleva.

Since Your Lovingness today, by the grace of God, completes the age of forty, I have therefore induced myself in my mind to believe that this thusly requires a little speech from me to congratulate Your Lovingness, and at the same time to thank God the Best and Greatest that Your Lovingness was done such a clemency, for up to now He has preserved you; and at the same time to pray to Him with all my heart that Your Lovingness will enjoy many years of good health to give me, a poor orphan, help and consolation in this kingdom's regalia and the defense of all good things, may you survive.
