Men jagh ähr förundradh öfwer att fördröijelsen aff mina bref, kanskee orsakad aff wegharna, hafwer Edher obligerat att så länge wänta på migh; ty jagh hade skrifwit herr Adami till att omöijeligheeten att reesa hade forcerat migh att skiuta min affreesa upp till en commodare åhrstijdh; och rädzlan att jagh war förobligerad att stanna uthi Danmark fick migh att resolvera att wänta här för denna gånghen. Det finns ingen annan raison som fick migh att skjuta min affreesa upp, aff hwilken jag manquerar icke att gifwa Edher en wiß avis gienom een express som skall fölgia om någhra daghar och försäkra Eder om att jag är extremt impatiente att komma. Det finns ingen annan anledning som fick mig att skjuta upp min avresa, av vilken jag säkert kommer att ge Er ett visst meddelande genom en exprès som kommer att följa om några dagar och försäkra Er om att jag är extremt otålig att komma. But I am astonished that the delay in my letters, caused perhaps by the difficulty of the passages, has obliged you to wait for me so long; for I had written to Sir Adami, that the impossibility of traveling had forced me to postpone my departure until a more convenient season; and the fear which I had of being obliged to stop in Denmark made me resolve to wait here for this time. There is no other reason which made me postpone my departure, of which I will be sure to give you certain notice by express messenger which will follow in a few days, assuring you that I am extremely impatient to come. I hope that if, by the orders of the King my nephew, you have been so eager to come and receive me, he will have enough kindness to allow you to wait as long as I will be allowed to come to you. I pray to God, etc.
