Je Viens de receuoir vostre Lettré du 6.e de ce mois, et voyant que les Estats Sont tousiours constants dans la resolution que le Recèz Soit obseruè en touts Ses articles, Vous demeurerèz aussy ferme la dessùs, et tascherèz d'en auoir les despesches, et l'execution: Quant à ceux qui S'opposent à ces fauorables dispositions Vous tascherèz de les addoucir le mieux que Vous pourrèz. Pour l'Eschange n'en parlèz pas plus, quittèz cette affaire, car Je Veux rester dans l'Estat, ou Je suis presentement, et on peut reseruer cette negotiation à la premiere Diete[.]

När det gäller utbytet, tala inte om det mer; ge upp denna affär, ty jag vill förbli i det tillstånd, som jag för närvarande befinner mig i, och vi kan reservera denna förhandling till första Riksdagen.
Se till att söka en stämningsansökan för mina anspråk med Kronan, enligt vad jag har specificerat.

As for those who oppose these favorable provisions, you will try to soften them as best you can. As for the exchange, do not talk about it any more; give up this affair, because I want to remain in the state in which I am at present, and we can reserve this negotiation for the first Riksdag.
Be sure to seek a subpoena for my claims with the Crown, as specified by me.
Push also the restitution of Pudagla according to the orders of your instruction.
After that you must know, that I dealt here with Jakob Momma, with much satisfaction; I also gave him en arrente the province of Öland, and I succeeded in remedying several disorders, and faults, which had been committed in the contract of Ösel and Gotland. I have again deposed the governors of these two provinces, because their behaviour obliged me to this resolution, and I have put others in their place, which will no doubt render me better service. But it is necessary that you assist and bring your care to prevent all the difficulties which the new governors could find in Sweden for the execution of my orders.
I have given Momma ample and full power to demand all remnants, and to indemnify me for all the injuries done to me by Governors Ribbing and Fleming in the time of their administration, in which you will listen to the said Momma, and you will give him all your assistance where it is necessary for him. You will also confer with him on the subpoena for my claims to the Crown, and follow his advice in this matter.
I send you herewith the patent for Kurck of the office of my Governor General; but it is necessary to consult with him on the manner of making known to the Grand Treasurer this resolution; for I would like it to be of good grace, and that the Grand Treasurer should not be offended or outraged. You can tell him that, seeing that his occupations do not allow him to apply himself any longer to my affairs, I thought I was doing him no harm by exonerating him from the fatigue that he believes himself obliged to support to keep watch. to my affairs, and that this will not prevent me from always mentioning his person and his merit, and similar expressions.
You will afterwards recommend all my affairs to Kurck, letting him know the confidence I have in him, and will persuade him to come and find me in the spring, but let him first make a tour through the provinces, to report to me on everything that is happening.
Besides, I have decided to leave here to go to Italy, seeing that my affairs allow me; thus there will be no more suspicions of my person in Sweden, and it will be known that my intentions are sincere, and such as I have always declared them.
