Kristina in a Finnish Bible, 1642

An illustration of the 15 year old Kristina was included at the front of the 1642 Finnish Bible translation, Biblia, Se On: Coco Pyhä Ramattu Suomexi. In the illustration, Kristina stands wearing a typical dress for young girls in the early 1640s, with a small crown on her/his/their head, a feather fan in one hand and a scepter in the other. On the table are a sword, key, orb and crown, the other symbols of royal power. An angel holds a small wreath over her/his/their head with the Latin inscription Vivat ("Long may she live"), and the harbour and city of Stockholm can be seen in the background.

Kristina's title is given in Finnish, followed by two poems, one in Latin and the other in Finnish:

Christina Jumalan armost Ruodzin Gothein ia Wendein walittu Drotingi ia Perifurstina suurifurstinna Suomenmaalla Hertuinna wiroin ia Carelein maalla Frökina Ingerin maalla. etcæt:

Christina hac facies, Gustavi Regis imago est,
Vivit in hac Nata mortuus ille pater.
Nam velin Heroum, & summorum gloria Regum
Infra Gustavj facia stupendajacet
Sic laus Christinæ, tot cos litus aucta triumphis
Crescit in immensum, vix habitura parem.
