The diary entry:

This Lord's day, early in the morning, the queen tooke her journey to see her mother; and it is the usuall time of travayle in this countrey: her conveyance was by sleddes, the easiest and most speedy way for a journey in the winter time. They wrap themselves warme with furres, and the snow is so hard frozen over as ice, that it beares the horse and sledde; and they passe over rivers, lakes and armes of the sea, the nearest way to their journey's end.

With modernised spelling:

This Lord's day, early in the morning, the Queen took her journey to see her mother; and it is the usual time of travel in this country. Her conveyance was by sleds, the easiest and most speedy way for a journey in the wintertime. They wrap themselves warm with furs, and the snow is so hard frozen over as ice that it bears the horse and sled; and they pass over rivers, lakes and arms of the sea, the nearest way to their journey's end.

French translation (my own):

Ce dimanche, de grand matin, la reine partit en voyage pour voir sa mère; et c'est le temps habituel des voyages dans ce pays. Son transport se faisait par traîneaux, le moyen le plus facile et le plus rapide pour un voyage en hiver. L'on s'enveloppe de fourrures, et la neige est si dure et gelée qu'elle supporte le cheval et le traîneau; et l'on traverse des rivières, des lacs et des bras de mer, le chemin le plus proche de la fin de son voyage.

Swedish translation (by Edman):

Söndagen, tidigt om morgonen, hvilken dag här i landet brukas til resor, begaf sig Drottningen på vägen at besöka sin Fru Moder, och nyttjade hon slädar, som om vintren är det lättaste och beqvämaste åkedon. Man är med pelsverk väl klädd, och snön är så hård, samt isen så stark, at han bär häst och släda, och man far således öfver strömar, sjöar och hafsvikar, ginaste vägen til det ställe man ämnat.

Contemporary Swedish translation (my own):

Söndagen, tidigt på morgonen, tog drottningen sin resa för att besöka sin mor; och det är den vanliga tiden för resor i detta land. Hennes transport skedde med slädar, det enklaste och snabbaste sättet för en resa på vintern. Man sveper sig varm med pälsar, och snön är så hårt frusen som is att den bär häst och släde; och man passerar över floder, sjöar och havets vikar, den närmaste vägen till ens resas slut.
