The letter:

J'ai reçu les dépêches des favorables résolutions qu'on a prises dans la Diette sur mes affaires; & comme je sai que vous y avez apporté vos soins, je vous en remercie par la présente, vous priant de croire que je suis redevable de l'affection dont vous m'avez donné des marques si obligeantes en cette occasion. Conservez-moi toujours votre amitié, puisque je l'estime autant que vous le méritez, priant Dieu.

Swedish translation (my own):

Jag har mottagit depescherna av de i Riksdagen tagna gynnsamma resolutioner rörande mina affärer; och eftersom jag vet att Ni har tagit hand om det, tackar jag Er härmed, ber Er att tro att jag är skyldig för den tillgivenhet som Ni vid detta tillfälle har givit mig så förpliktande tecken. Bevara alltid Er vänskap åt mig, ty jag uppskattar den så mycket som Ni förtjänar, bedjande till Gud.

English translation (my own):

I have received the despatches of the favourable resolutions taken in the Riksdag concerning my affairs; and as I know that you have taken care of it, I hereby thank you for it, begging you to believe that I am indebted for the affection of which you have given me such obliging signs on this occasion. Always preserve your friendship for me, for I esteem it as much as you deserve, praying to God.
