Mi persuado però che monsignore avrà potuto facilmente conoscere quanto io fossi certa di gia dell'affettuosa volontà di Vostra Eminenza verso di me e quanta stima io ne faccia, e che l'avrà rappresentato all'Eminenza Vostra, onde io mi restringo a ringraziarla dell'ufficio e ad augurare al di lei merito con pieno animo le più vere prosperità.

E. onde io mi restringo a ringraziarla dell'ufficio, e ad augurare al di lei merito con pieno animo le più vere prosperità.

J'ai reçu la lettre de Votre Éminence de votre neveu Monseigneur l'Archevêque, qui, même avec ses expressions vives, voulait plutôt m'assurer de la satisfaction particulière que mon retour à Rome causait à Votre Éminence. Je suis persuadée cependant que Monseigneur aura pu facilement savoir combien je fusse déjà certaine de la volonté affectueuse de Votre Eminence à mon égard, et combien j'en ai d'estime, et qu'il a dû le représenter à Votre Eminence, de sorte que je me borne à vous remercier de l'office et à vous souhaiter de tout mon cœur la plus vraie prospérité.

Jag har mottagit Ers Eminens' brev från Er nevö, Ärkebiskopen, som även med sina livliga uttryck snarare velat försäkra mig om den särskilda tillfredsställelse, som min återkomst till Rom vållat Ers Eminens. Jag är dock övertygad om att monsignor lätt kunde ha vetat hur säker jag redan var på Ers Eminens' tillgivna vilja mot mig och hur mycket aktning jag har för den, och att han måste ha representerat det för Ers Eminens, så att jag begränsar mig att tacka Er för tjänsten och att önska Er av hela mitt hjärta ett verkligt välstånd.
English translation (my own):
I have received Your Eminence's letter from your nephew, the Archbishop, who, even with his lively expressions, wanted rather to assure me of the particular satisfaction which my return to Rome has caused Your Eminence. I am persuaded, however, that Monsignor could easily have known how certain I was already of Your Eminence's affectionate will towards me, and how much esteem I have for it, and that he must have represented it to Your Eminence, so that I confine myself to thanking you for the service and to wishing you with all my heart the truest prosperity.

Je me persuade, cependant, que Monseigneur a pu aisément comprendre et lui transmettre combien j'étais déjà certaine de la volonté affectueuse de Votre Éminence à mon égard et combien je l'estime. Je me restreins donc de lui remercier pour cet office et de lui souhaiter, de toute âme et en reconnaissance de ses mérites, les plus véritables prospérités.
