E. hà voluto passar meco con la sua ^ cortese lett[er]a p[er] occ[asio]ne del mio ritorno in Roma con Salute hà rincontrato in me tutta quella Stima con la quale io hò riceuuta Sempre tutte le dimostrat[io]ni dell'animo Suo verso di me [...] Jo p[er]ò la ringr[azio] molto particolar[men]te di q[ues]to che mi fà Scorgere[.]

Al signor cardinal d'Este.
L'ufficio che Vostra Eminenza ha voluto passar meco con la sua cortese lettera per occasione del mio ritorno in Roma ha rincontrato in me tutta quella stima con la quale io ho ricevuta sempre tutte le dimostrazioni dell'animo suo verso di me. Io però la ringrazio molto particolarmente di questo che mi fa scorgere.

L'office que Votre Éminence a voulu passer avec moi par votre courtoise lettre, à l'occasion de mon retour à Rome, m'a valu toute cette estime avec laquelle j'ai toujours reçu toutes les démonstrations de votre âme envers moi. Cependant je vous remercie beaucoup surtout pour ce que vous me laissez voir.
Swedish translation (my own):
Den tjänst som Ers Eminens önskat lämna med mig genom Ert hövliga brev, i samband med min återkomst till Rom, har givit mig all den aktning med vilken jag alltid har mottagit alla betygelser av Er själ mot mig. Jag tackar Er ändå så mycket, särskilt för det Ni låter mig se.
English translation (my own):
The service which Your Eminence wished to pass with me through your courteous letter, on the occasion of my return to Rome, earned me all the esteem with which I have always received all the demonstrations of your soul towards me. However, I thank you very much especially for what you let me see.
French translation of the original (my own):
A Monseigneur le cardinal d'Este.
La visite de Votre Éminence, par l'intermédiaire de son aimable lettre à l'occasion de mon retour à Rome, m'a donné la même estime que celle que j'ai toujours portée à toutes les marques d'affection qu'elle m'a témoignées. Cependant, je lui remercie tout particulièrement de ce qu'elle m'a montré.
Swedish translation of the original (my own):
Till monsignor kardinal d'Este.
Den tjänst varmed Ers Eminens har velat besöka mig med Ert vänliga brev med anledning av min återkomst till Rom har mött in i mig med samma aktning som jag alltid har mottagit alla Era själs bevis mot mig. Jag tackar Er under tiden särskilt för detta som Ni har visat mig.
English translation of the original (my own):
To Monsignor Cardinal d'Este.
