"On ne remarque pas par la Correspondance de la Reine, qu'elle ait mieux réussi dans ses propositions à la Cour d'Espagne, qu'à celle de Vienne; car dans la derniére Lettre qu'elle en écrivit au Nonce, elle lui dit ([Lettere a Diversi] le 1. Févr. l. c. p. 146.)..."
"One does not notice in the Queen's correspondence that she was more successful in her propositions to the court of Spain than to that of Vienna, for, in the last letter that she wrote to the Nuncio, she said to him ([Lettere a diversi], February 1, l. c., page 146.)..."

Poiché, come Vostra Serenità mi significa nell'ultima sua, non è da sperare che il barone de Goëss ritorni in Danimarca, potrà ella lasciar di farne alcuno altro motivo, ancorché con la mia de' 18 caduto, io le abbia rinuovata la premura del di lui ritorno, quale intanto desideravo, in quanto pareva che potesse contribuire qualche cosa all'inteso fine.
Nulladimeno, mentre io confido di poter operar con l'aiuto di Dio, senza quello dell'imperatore, molto più spero di poter farlo senza il baron de Goëss. Ringrazio però Vostra Serenità dell'efficace volontà, con che s'è adoperata sin qui in quest'affare; e per fine Nostro Signore le conceda vere felicità, ecc.

Comme vous m'avez marqué dans la vôtre, qu'il n'y a nulle espérance que le Baron de Goes reviendra en Dannemarc, je vous prie de n'en faire aucune mention ultérieure. Je n'ai desiré son retour, que dans l'idée qu'il pourroit contribuer au grand but que je me suis proposé. Cependant, comme j'espére pouvoir opérer quelque chose avec l'aide de Dieu sans celle de l'Empereur, je me flatte d'autant plus de le faire aussi sans le Baron de Goes.
English translation (my own):
As you have indicated to me in your letter that there is no hope that the Baron de Goes will return to Denmark, I ask you not to make any further mention of it. I only wanted his return with the idea that he could contribute to the great goal I have set for myself. However, as I hope to be able to operate something with the help of God and without that of the Emperor, I flatter myself all the more that I do it also without Baron de Goes.
French translation of the original (my own):

Le 1er février 1662.
Monseigneur,
Puisque, comme Votre Sérénité me l'a signifié dans sa dernière lettre, il n'est pas à espérer que le baron de Goëss revienne au Danemark, elle pourra s'abstenir de tout autre motif, même si, par ma lettre du 18 du passé, j'ai renouvelé mes soins pour son retour, que j'avais cependant désiré, car il me semblait pouvoir contribuer quelque peu au fin envisagé.
Néanmoins, si j'ai la confidence de pouvoir travailler avec l'aide de Dieu, sans celle de l'Empereur, j'espère encore plus pouvoir le faire sans le baron de Goëss. Cependant, je remercie Votre Sérénité pour la volonté efficace avec laquelle elle a œuvré jusqu'ici en cette affaire; et enfin, que Notre Seigneur lui concède de véritables félicités, etc.
