Ser:mo Sig:re Stimo in singolar maniera il riconoscimento che V:ra Ser:tà hà voluto mostrarmi della volontà ch'io tengo partialissima verso cotesta Ser:ma Republica alla quale vorrei poterne dar espressi nell' opere quei rincontri, che più sono proprij per farle scorger efficacemente la prontezza colla quale io bramo di corrispondere non tanto all' obligo, che porto di contribuir ogni mio potere in servitio del Christianesimo, quanto al desiderio, ch'è in me vivissimo di comprovar per effetti a V. Ser:tà la mia particolare disposizione verso cotesto Ser:mo Dominio, & a questo fine io non hò lasciato d'impiegarmi seriosamente, e l'assicuro che non lascerò di farlo, ove conosca che sia per esser proficua l'opera mia. J'estime d'une manière singulière la reconnaissance que Votre Sérénité a voulu me témoigner de la volonté que je porte très partiellement envers cette Sérénissime République à laquelle je voudrais pouvoir exprimer dans mes œuvres les trouvailles les plus appropriées à  fais-lui percevoir efficacement la promptitude avec laquelle je désire correspondre non pas tant à l'obligation que je porte d'apporter toute ma puissance au service du christianisme, mais plutôt au désir qui est très vivant en moi de manifester en effet pour Votre Sérénité ma disposition particulière envers cette sérénissime domination, et à cette fin je n'ai pas quitté de m'employer sérieusement; et je l'assure que je n'arrêterai pas de le faire là où je sais que mon travail sera profitable. Cependant, je remercie Votre Sérénité pour votre office, et je la prie de la part du Seigneur Dieu la plénitude de tout bonheur.

Durchlauchtigaste Herre,

Jag uppskattar på ett enastående sätt det erkännande som Ers Durchlauchtighet har velat visa mig för den vilja som jag mycket delvis har gentemot denna durchlauchtigaste Republik som jag skulle vilja kunna ge uttryck i mina verk de rön som är mest lämpliga för att få det att på ett effektivt sätt uppfatta den snabbhet med vilken jag önskar att motsvara inte så mycket den skyldighet som jag bär att bidra med all min kraft i kristendomens tjänst, utan snarare den önskan som är mycket levande inom mig att visa Ers Durchlauchtighet i verkligheten min speciella läggning gentemot detta durchlauchtigaste välde, och för detta ändamål har jag inte lämnat för att sysselsätta mig på allvar; och jag försäkrar Er att jag inte kommer att sluta göra det där jag vet att mitt arbete kommer att vara lönsamt. Emellertid tackar jag Ers Durchlauchtighet för Er tjänst, och jag ber för Er från Herren Gud om all lyckas fullhet.

I esteem in a singular way the recognition that Your Serenity has wished to show me of the will that I hold very partially towards this Most Serene Republic to which I would like to be able to give expression in my works those findings which are most appropriate to make it effectively perceive the promptness with which I desire to correspond not so much to the obligation that I bear to contribute all my power in the service of Christianity, but rather to the desire that is very alive within me to demonstrate to Your Serenity in effect my particular disposition towards this most serene dominion, and to this end I have not left to employ myself seriously; and I assure you that I will not stop doing it where I know that my work will be profitable. In the meantime, I thank Your Serenity for your office, and I pray to you from the Lord God the fullness of all happiness.
