J'apprens par la lettre de Votre Dilection jusqu'où est allé Votre fils mon très-cher Cousin, qu'il s'est arrêté une nuit en Espagne, & qu'il va repartir pour la France: Je supplie le Tout-puissant qu'il veuille par sa grace vous conserver long-tems en bonne santé avec un si digne fils, & le douer abondamment, aussi bien que son frère, de toutes les vertus qui conviennent à des Princes, pour Votre consolation & satisfaction, pour celles de la Posterité, & pour leur propre gloire; C'est ce que je souhaite de tout mon cœur. ...

Kärlighets Son, min kärälskelige Syßling, kommit, at han endast warit öfwer en natt i Spanien och så återbegifwit sig til Frankrike. Jag beder den aldrahögsta Guden, at han Eders Kärlighet och des så wärdiga Son länge täckes bibehålla wid al önskelig wälmåga, och begåfwa honom tillika med des Broder med alla Christeliga dygder, Eder och efterwerlden til glädje och hugnad, samt dem sjelfwa til berömmelse. Your Lovingness's letter was returned to me yesterday, along with the news for which I thank you. I learn from Your Lovingness's letter how far your son, my dear cousin, has gone, that he stopped one night in Spain, and that he is going to return to France. I beseech the Almighty that He will, by His grace, keep you in good health for a long time with such a worthy son, and endow him abundantly, as well as his brother, with all the virtues suitable for princes, for your consolation and satisfaction, for those of posterity, and for their own glory. This is what I wish with all my heart. Given at Ulvsunda, October 19, 1639.
