Serenissime Princeps, Affinis Charissime. Ex literis Tuis intelligo S. T. bene valere, & ab Deo peroptimo Maximo Tibi optima & secundissima precor. Et quoniam cum hac occasione præterire non potui quin cum hac epistola singularem benevolentiam ac favorem ostendam; sed quia nihil est quod scribam S. T. sub Divinam protectionem commendo. Sérénissime Prince, mon très-cher Cousin. J'apprens par votre lettre que vous vous portez bien, & je souhaite que Dieu vous accorde toutes sortes de prospérités; C'est pourquoi je ne puis manquer de vous témoigner par cette lettre ma joïe, ma bienveillance & ma faveur; mais n'aïant autre chose pour le présent à écrire à Votre Altesse, je la recommande à la protection Divine.

I hear from your letter that you are doing well, and I wish God to grant you various and sundry prosperities. I therefore cannot fail to testify to you by this letter my joy, my benevolence and my favour; but having nothing else at present about which to write to Your Highness, I recommend you to God's protection.
