Monsieur mon Cousin. La satisfaction que je me suis procurée à moi-même, en vous donnant du contentement, étoit si grande qu'il n'étoit nullement besoin, que vous y ajoutassiez celle, que j'ai reçu par la lettre que vous m'avez écrite pour m'en remercier. C'est à moi de rendre graces à ma bonne fortune qui m'a fait naître cette nouvelle occasion de rendre ma reconnoissance d'autant plus indubitable, par cette derniere rencontre qui s'est présentée si à propos à moi, pour me donner le moïen de m'acquitter en partie des obligations que je vous ai en considération des bons & fidéles offices que vous m'avez toûjours rendus. Je vous prie mon Cousin, de croire que je conserverai toûjours les sentimens d'amitié & d'estime que j'ai pour Vous & que je serai toute ma vie,

English translation (my own):
Sir my Cousin,
The satisfaction that I got for myself, by giving you satisfaction, was so great that there was no need for you to add to it that which I received by the letter you wrote to me to thank me. It is for me to give thanks to my good fortune which gave me this new opportunity to make my gratitude all the more indubitable by this last meeting which presented itself so aptly to me, to give me the means of discharging me in part of the obligations which I owe you in consideration of the good and faithful services which you have always rendered me. I beg you, my cousin, to believe that I will always preserve the feelings of friendship and esteem that I have for you and that I will be all my life,
