The letter:
Je ne puis comprendre Monsieur le Gouverneur Général Sevedt Bååt pourquoi vous tardez tant à remettre de l'argent à Texeira, & que contre l'ordre que je vous avois donné de lui faire tenir tout droit de mes provinces, l'argent que s'y pourroit trouver, vous en avez fait transporter une partie de Gothland à Stockholm. Vous savez pourtant que ce n'est pas le moïen d'avancer mes affaires & que cette façon d'agir me sera plûtôt préjudiciable que d'utilité, puisque le Contract requiert de promtes & éxactes remises de bonnes sommes d'argent. Ne manquez donc pas d'y être plus ponctuel, & exécutez dorénavant mieux mes ordres, afin que Texeira puisse de son côté accomplir ce à quoi il s'est obligé dans le nouveau Contract. Il se plaint de ceux qui gouvernent mes provinces, qu'il n'en peut tirer ni lettres, ni argent, & partant je leur en ai écrit, & commandé, que pour l'avenir ils soient plus assidus, & veux que Vous établissiez un tel ordre par toutes mes provinces qu'ils s'acquittent mieux de leur devoir, & qu'ils entretiennent avec lui une éxacte correspondance, sur ce qui touche mes affaires: priant Dieu qu'il Vous conserve. à Rome ce 8 Juillet 1662.

Jag kan inte förstå, generalguvernör Seved Bååth, varför Ni tar så lång tid att överlämna pengarna till Texeira, och att mot den befallning jag gav Er att låta honom hålla alla mina provinsers rättigheter, de pengar som kunde vara där hade Ni en del av den transporterad från Gotland till Stockholm. Ni vet dock att detta ju icke är sättet att främja mina affärer och att detta sätt att agera kommer att vara skadligt för mig snarare än användbart, eftersom kontraktet kräver snabba och exakta överföringar av goda summor pengar. Var noga med att vara mer punktlig däri och hädanefter utför mina befallningar bättre, så att Texeira för sin del kan åstadkomma vad han är skyldig i det nya kontraktet. Han klagar över de som styr mina provinser, att han varken kan få brev eller pengar, och därför skrev jag till dem och befallde att de för framtiden skulle vara flitigare och vill att Ni skall etablera en sådan order av alla mina provinser att de fullgör sin plikt bättre och att de håller exakt korrespondens med honom om vad som berör mina angelägenheter, och jag ber Gud att han bevare Er. I cannot understand, Governor General Seved Bååth, why you are taking so long to hand over the money to Texeira, and that against the order I had given you to make him hold all rights of my provinces, the money that could be there, you had part of it transported from Gotland to Stockholm. You know, however, that this is not the way to advance my affairs and that this way of acting will be detrimental to me rather than useful, since the contract requires prompt and exact remittances of good sums of money. So be sure to be more punctual therein, and henceforth execute my orders better, so that Texeira can for his part accomplish what he is obliged to in the new contract. He complains about those who govern my provinces, that he can get neither letters nor money, and therefore I wrote to them and commanded that in future they be more assiduous, and I wish you to establish such an order by all my provinces that they discharge their duty better, and that they maintain an exact correspondence with him, on what touches my affairs, praying to God that He will preserve you.
