Den Spanske utskickade Pimentelli var i stor gunst: till Hennes Maj:ts bästa och Kronans nytta, derom tänktes olika. Han sökte alltjemt att draga all affection till huset Österrike, contesterade mycket deras affection till oss och mutuum interesse. Hvad han rådde gick ensides.

Den spanske utskickade Pimentelli var i stor gunst; till Hennes Majestäts bästa och Kronans nytta, därom tänktes olika. Han sökte alltjämt att draga all affektion till huset Österrike, kontesterade mycket deras affektion till oss och mutuum interesse. Vad han rådde gick ensides.

French translation (my own):

L'envoyé espagnol Pimentel était en grande faveur; pour le bien de Sa Majesté et celui de la Couronne, les opinions étaient différentes à ce sujet. Il cherchait toujours à attirer toute l'affection vers la Maison d'Autriche, contestant beaucoup leur affection envers nous et leur intérêt mutuel. Ce qu'il conseillait allait dans un sens.

English translation (my own):

The Spanish envoy Pimentel was in great favour; for Her Majesty's good and the benefit of the Crown, there were different thoughts about that. He still sought to draw all affection to the House of Austria, much contesting their affection to us and mutual interest. What he advised went one way.
