M. de l'honneur, que vous m'avez fait d'envoyer le Senateur Linde pour M'asseurer de votre bienveillance, j'ay receu avec l'estime, qui Vous est deu les protestations, qu'il m'a faites de votre part, et je luy ay expliqué mes intentions d'une maniere, qui l'a persvadé, que j'ay plus de Zele pour le service de Votre Ma:te que nul autre, & puisque le Roy de France a eu la bonté de recom̃ender à Son Amb:r M:r de Terlon d'appuyer mes interests aupres de V. M. j'aye prié le d:t S:r de Terlon de se rendre au nom de son Maitre tesmoin de toutes mes actions, & [je] l'ay prié d'asseurer V. And I have begged him to assure Your Majesty of the sincerity of my affection, of which Lord Linde will also give him good account, begging him to add credence to the protestations which they will all make on my behalf of the passion with which I will be all my life,

Note: In accordance with the nobility's ideals of friendship in the early modern era, kings and queens saw themselves as siblings; but because Kristina had adopted her cousin Karl Gustav, Karl's father, as her/his/their son in order to make him her/his/their heir, the boy inherited that title upon his father's death.
