Madrid y Octubre 23 de 1655.
... La Reina de Suecia ha enviado ya á Roma su recámara y parte de sus criados. Hanle dado el palacio de Farnesio, en que venga á vivir. Va á volverse católica; es cosa ciertísima, de que he visto muchas cartas. Si lo hubiera hecho antes de dejar el reino, hubiera reducido aquellas gentes al verdadero conocimiento de la religion cristiana. Debe esto sin duda de convenir, pues así Dios lo permite. ...

Elle va se convertir au catholicisme; cela est tout à fait certain, car j'ai vu de nombreuses lettres qui le confirment. Si elle l'avait fait avant de quitter le royaume, elle aurait ramené ces gens à la véritable compréhension de la religion chrétienne. Cela ne peut être que meilleur, car Dieu le permet. …

... Sveriges drottning har redan skickat sin kammarherre och några av sina tjänare till Rom. De har givit henne palatset Farnese, där hon kommer att bo. Om hon hade gjort det innan hon lämnade riket, skulle hon ha fört dessa människor tillbaka till den sanna förståelsen av den kristna religionen. ... The Queen of Sweden has already sent her chamberlain and some of her servants to Rome. They have given her the Palazzo Farnese, where she will come to live. She is going to become Catholic; this is most certain, as I have seen many letters confirming it. Had she done so before leaving the kingdom, she would have brought those people back to the true understanding of the Christian religion. This must without a doubt be for the best, as God is permitting it. ...
