De Nycoping le 20. Juin 1651.

Monsieur mon Cousin, je ne vous importunerois pas par la présente, si la nécessité de quelques affaires importantes ne m'obligeoit de desirer votre présence. Je suis fâchée d'avoir appris ici que la santé de votre Sœur étoit douteuse. Je souhaiterois pouvoir obtenir de vous le bien de vous voir, sans que cela préjudiciât à la santé d'une Sœur qui doit m'être aussi chére que la vôtre. Je vous conjure de m'accorder cet avantage, s'il peut se demander sans vous incommoder. Vous m'obligerez infiniment, si vous ajoutez cette marque de votre amitié à tant d'autres, que vous m'avez données. Je m'estimerai heureuse, si je puis avoir la satisfaction que vous ne refusez rien à mes souhaits, & je me croirai d'autant plus obligée de vous en témoigner ma reconnoissance dans les occasions. Min herr kusin,

Jag skulle inte besvära Er med det här brev om nödvändigheten av några viktiga affärer inte tvingade mig att önska Er närvaro. Jag är ledsen att jag här fick veta att Er systers hälsa var tveksam. Jag skulle vilja kunna erhålla av Er det goda att se Er, utan att detta skadar hälsan hos en syster som måste vara mig lika kär som den Er. Jag ber Er att ge mig denna fördel, om den kan begäras utan att störa Er. Ni kommer att förplikta mig oändligt om Ni lägger denna vänskapsbetygelse till så många andra som Ni har givit mig. Jag kommer att anse mig lycklig om jag kan få tillfredsställelsen att Ni inte vägrar något som helst till mina önskemål, och jag kommer att tro mig desto mer skyldig att vid tillfälle betyga min tacksamhet för Er. My lord cousin,

I would not importune you with the present letter if the necessity of some important affairs did not oblige me to desire your presence. I am sorry to have learned here that your sister's health was doubtful. I would like to be able to obtain from you the good of seeing you, without this prejudicing the health of a sister who must be as dear to me as yours. I beg you to grant me this advantage, if it can be asked for without inconveniencing you. You will oblige me infinitely if you add this mark of your friendship to so many others that you have given me. I will esteem myself happy if I can have the satisfaction that you refuse nothing to my wishes, and I will believe myself all the more obliged to testify my gratitude to you on occasion.
