The account:

Les Suédois firent une irruption subite dans le Holstein; ils trouverent les Danois sans défense; ils se rendirent maîtres en peu de tems des principales places de ce Duché, & pénétrerent jusque dans la presqu'isle de Jutland. L'infanterie Danoise, forte d'environ quatre mille cinq cens hommes, fut obligée de se rendre à discrétion. La guerre s'alluma de plus en plus entre les deux Nations rivales. Il y eut de part & d'autre des actions très vives sur terre & sur mer. Les Suédois, ayant reçu un secours de vaisseaux Hollandois, eurent l'avantage dans ces combats, sans pourtant avoir fait aucun coup décisif. Torstenson poursuivit avec plus de succès les Impériaux; il parvint à détruire les troupes commandées par Gallas, & à les réduire à mille hommes de pied; tristes restes d'une armée florissante, que ce Général eut beaucoup de peine à ramener avec lui en Bohême, à la fin de la campagne.

Svenskarna gjorde ett plötsligt uppbrott i Holstein. De fann danskarna försvarslösa. De tog på kort tid detta hertigdömes främsta platser i besittning och trängde ända till halvön Jylland. Det danska infanteriet, omkring fyra tusen femhundra man starkt, var skyldigt att kapitulera efter gottfinnande.

Kriget blossade upp mer och mer mellan de två rivaliserande nationerna. Det var mycket livliga aktioner på båda sidor, till lands och till sjöss. Svenskarna, efter att ha fått hjälp av holländska fartyg, hade fördelen i dessa strider, utan att dock ha gjort något avgörande slag. Torstensson förföljde de kejserliga med större framgång; han lyckades förstöra trupperna under befäl av Gallas och reducera dem till tusen fotfolk — de sorgliga kvarlevorna av en blomstrande armé, som denne general hade stora svårigheter att föra med sig tillbaka till Böhmen i slutet av fälttåget.

English translation (my own):

The Swedes made a sudden irruption into Holstein. They found the Danes defenseless. They took possession in a short time of the principal places of this duchy and penetrated as far as the peninsula of Jutland. The Danish infantry, about four thousand five hundred men strong, was obliged to surrender at discretion.

The war flared up more and more between the two rival nations. There were very lively actions on both sides, on land and at sea. The Swedes, having received assistance from Dutch ships, had the advantage in these combats, without, however, having made any decisive blow. Torstensson pursued the Imperials with more success; he succeeded in destroying the troops commanded by Gallas, and in reducing them to a thousand footmen — the sad remains of a flourishing army, which this general had great difficulty in bringing back with him to Bohemia at the end of the campaign.
