Monsig:re. Reveren:mo. Il Colonnello Cleuter hà bisogno del favore e dell'arbitrio di V. S. per ottenere una buona, e pronta spedizione d'alcune cause ch'egli hà in Liegi, com'egli medemo le rappresenterà. Io però che hò motivi di cooperare agli avantaggi ed alle sodisfazzioni di questo mio attual servitore; prego V. S. ad haverlo per vivamente raccomandato, ed a fargli godere, per mio riguardo, quei favori, e quelle agevolezze, che giustamente potranno derivargli dall'autorità sua, per farmi cosa tanto più accetta quanto più efficace, è il desiderio mio d'intendere che il medemo Collonello rimanga consolato nell'intento suo. Confermo a V. S. con questa occasione la mia particolar volontà e stima verso il di lei merito, al quale auguro &c.

Le colonel Cleuter a besoin de la faveur et de la volonté de Votre Excellence pour obtenir une bonne et prompte expédition de quelques causes qu'il a à Liège, comme il les représentera. Cependant, moi qui ai des raisons de coopérer aux avantages et aux satisfactions de mon serviteur actuel, je prie Votre Excellence de le faire fortement recommander et de lui faire jouir, pour moi, des faveurs et des facilités qui peuvent légitimement découler de sa autorité, pour rendre ce qu'il accepte le plus efficace pour moi; c'est mon désir de comprendre que le même colonel reste consolé dans sa intention. Je confirme à Votre Excellence à cette occasion ma volonté particulière et mon estime pour son mérite, à laquelle je souhaite, etc.

Överste Cleuter behöver Ers Excellens' gunst och vilja för att få en god och snabb expedition av några saker som han har i Liège, eftersom han skall representera dem. Men jag, som har skäl att samarbeta i fördelarna och tillfredsställelsen av denne min nuvarande tjänare, ber Ers Excellens om att få honom starkt rekommenderad och att få honom att åtnjuta, för min skull, de tjänster och de faciliteter som med rätta kan härröra från hans auktoritet, att göra det han accepterar desto mer effektivt för mig; det är min önskan att förstå att samma överste förblir tröstad i Er avsikt. Jag bekräftar för Ers Excellens med detta tillfälle min särskilda vilja och aktning för Era förtjänster, till vilka jag önskar, osv.

Most Reverend Monsignor,
Colonel Cleuter needs the favour and the will of Your Excellency to obtain a good and prompt expedition of some causes which he has in Liège, as he will represent them. I, however, who have reasons to cooperate in the advantages and satisfactions of this present servant of mine, beg Your Excellency to have him strongly recommended and to make him enjoy, for my sake, those favours and those facilities that may rightly derive from his authority, to make what he accepts the more effective for me; it is my desire to understand that the same Colonel remain consoled in your intent. I confirm to Your Excellency with this occasion my particular will and esteem towards your merit, to which I wish, etc.
