Mon Cousin, le Colonel Cleuter ayant un procès à vuider devant vos Juges & les Echevins de Liége, m'a demandé cette Lettre de recommandation auprès de votre Eminence, pour vous prier de vouloir ordonner qu'on lui rende une bonne & promte justice; & comme j'ai fort à cœur les intérêts de ce mien Serviteur, je le recommande avec soin à V. E., vous assurant que je vous serai obligée de toutes les faveurs que vous lui ferez pour l'amour de moi. J'embrasse encore très-volontiers l'occasion de vous écrire la présente, pour renouveller à V. E. l'amitié & l'estime que j'ai pour votre mérite, étant

Colonel Cleuter, having a trial to attend before your judges and the aldermen of Liège, asked me for this letter of recommendation to Your Eminence, to ask you to order that good and prompt justice be rendered to him; and as I have the interests of this my servant very much at heart, I recommend him to Your Eminence with care, assuring you that I shall be obliged to you for all the favours you do him for my sake. I again gladly embrace the opportunity to write you this letter, to renew to Your Eminence the friendship and esteem that I have for your merit, being,
