Le 18. Juillet 1668.

Monsieur le Procureur Bassadona, je suis trop persuadée de la véritable amitié & affection que vous me portez, pour douter de vos soins & de vos bons offices en faveur du Sieur Baron Gustave Wrangel, que je vous ai recommandé. J'aurois souhaitté pour l'amour de lui, qu'il eût mieux usé de la fortune; mais il doit accuser son malheur. Cependant je vous remercie de tout ce que vous avez fait en sa faveur, vous priant de croire que j'en aurai toute la reconnoissance que vous méritez, & que je vous conserverai de l'amitié, faisant toujours estime & grand état de votre mérite, & priant Dieu qu'il vous tienne en sa sainte garde.

Swedish translation (my own):

Den 18 juli 1668.

Herr prokurör Bassadonna,

Jag är alltför övertygad om den sanna vänskap och tillgivenhet Ni har för att jag skall tvivla på Er omsorg och Era goda tjänster till förmån för herr friherre Gustaf Wrangel, som jag har rekommenderat Er. Jag borde ha önskat för hans skull att han hade gjort bättre nytta av sin lycka; men han måste erkänna sin olycka. Emellertid tackar jag Er för allt Ni har gjort till hans fördel, bedjande Er att tro att jag kommer att få all den tacksamhet Ni förtjänar, och att jag kommer att hålla Er i vänskap, alltid uppskattande och hedrande Era förtjänster och bedjande till Gud att han har Er i sin heliga vård.

English translation (my own):

July 18, 1668.

Lord Procurator Bassadonna,

I am too persuaded of the true friendship and affection you have for me to doubt your care and your good services in favour of the Lord Baron Gustaf Wrangel, whom I have recommended to you. I should have wished for his sake that he had made better use of his fortune; but he must acknowledge his misfortune. In the meantime, I thank you for all that you have done in his favour, begging you to believe that I will have all the gratitude you deserve, and that I will keep you in friendship, always esteeming and honouring your merit, and praying to God that He have you in His holy keeping.
