Monsieur le Procureur Corraro, puisque le Nord est tout en paix, le Baron Gustave Wrangel, Gentilhomme Suédois, qui est fait pour la guerre, ne pouvant vivre dans l'oisiveté, après avoir fait éclater sa vertu & son courage dans la charge de Vice-Amiral & de Conseiller de la Marine pour la Suède, & de Général-Maréchal-Lieutenant pour la Pologne, je lui ai conseillé d'aller offrir ses services à la République contre l'Ennemi commun, espérant qu'elle ne les refusera pas. Je connois si bien sa réputation & sa valeur, que je puis vous assurer qu'il ne sera pas inutile. Je prends la confiance de vous le recommander, vous priant de le favoriser de votre appui, & vous assurant que je vous serai redevable de toute l'assistance qu'il recevra de vous en ma considération. J'embrasse avec joye cette occasion pour vous assurer de l'amitié & de l'estime que je conserve pour votre mérite, & prie Dieu &c.

Eftersom Norden är helt i fred, friherre Gustaf Wrangel, en svensk herre som är gjord för krig, oförmögen att leva i sysslolöshet efter att ha visat sin dygd och sitt mod på ämbetet som viceamiral och marineråd för Sverige, och av generalmarskalklöjtnant för Polen, har jag rådat honom att gå och erbjuda sina tjänster till Republiken mot den gemensamma fienden, i förhoppningen att den inte kommer att vägra dem. Jag känner till hans rykte och hans värde så väl att jag kan försäkra Er om att han inte kommer att vara värdelös. As the North is completely at peace, Baron Gustaf Wrangel, a Swedish gentleman who is made for war, unable to live in idleness after having displayed his virtue and his courage in the office of Vice-Admiral and Councillor of the Navy for Sweden, and of General-Marshal-Lieutenant for Poland, I have advised him to go and offer his services to the Republic against the common enemy, hoping that it will not refuse them. I know his reputation and his value so well that I can assure you that he will not be useless. I take the confidence to recommend him to you, begging you to favour him with your support, and assuring you that I shall be indebted to you for all the assistance he receives from you in my consideration. I gladly embrace this occasion to assure you of the friendship and esteem I hold for your merit, and I pray to God, etc.
