The letter:

Monsieur l'Evêque & Prince de Munster. Je prens la confiance de Vous recommander l'Avocat Antonio Maria Fede pour lui obtenir la qualité de votre Agent en cette Cour, en cas qu'il s'en présente la vacance. Je vous puis assurer qu'il est fort honnéte homme, qui par ses qualités & par sa capacité s'est acquis ici beaucoup d'estime. Ce sont les raisons qui m'engagent à le favoriser avec soin auprès de vous, & qui vous doivent persuader de la satisfaction qu'il vous donnera par ses services. Je vous serai bien obligée, si vous disposez à ma considération de cet emploi en faveur dudit Avocat. Cependant je prie Dieu qu'il vous tienne en sa sainte garde. Rome ce 5. Août 1679.

Sir Bishop and Prince of Münster,

I take the confidence of recommending to you the lawyer Antonio Maria Fede to obtain for him the quality of your agent in this court, in the event that vacancy arises. I can assure you that he is a very honest man, who by his qualities and his capacity has acquired a great deal of esteem here. These are the reasons which induce me to favour him carefully with you, and which should persuade you of the satisfaction he will give you by his services. I will be grateful if you have this post in my consideration for the said lawyer. In the meantime, I pray to God that He will keep you in His holy care. Rome, August 5, 1679.
