... Sveriges församlade riksständer förklarade för sin Drottning att de nu ville leva i en republik och att de förbjöd henne att gifta sig. ...

English translation (my own):

... The assembled Estates of the Realm of Sweden declared to their Queen that they now wanted to live in a republic, and that they forbade her to marry. ...
