Clarissima. Il balsamo inviatoci da V. M. e l'afletto si particolare che l'accompagna, è stato stimato da noi, che non potiamo conformarci al sentimento della M. V. la quale con maniera anco più cortese ha voluto considerarlo meno, e procurato di occultarsi, che venisse dalla sua mano. Da questa non potiamo già mai ricever cosa che non sia a noi di molto pregio. Onde ringraziando V. M. della prova più gentile che ci ha dato in questa della sua afletione, l'assicuriamo, che la conservatione della nostra vita, la quale ha ella tanto a cuore, è desiderata da noi particolarmente per lungamente corrispondere con pienezza di paterna diletione, e fargliene sperimentar gli effetti in ogni campo. Et alla M. V. diamo con tutto l'animo l'Ap:lica beneditione. Data Romae apud S.tum Petrum, die 31 Martij 1668, Pontificatus nostri anno primo.

Il balsamo inviatoci da Vostra Maestà, e l'afletto si particolare che l'accompagna, è stato stimato da Noi, che non possiamo conformarci al sentimento della Maestà Vostra, la quale con maniera anco più cortese ha voluto considerarlo meno e procurato di occultarsi che venisse dalla sua mano. Da questa non possiamo già mai ricever cosa che non sia a Noi di molto pregio. Onde ringraziando Vostra Maestà della prova più gentile che Ci ha dato in questa della sua afflezione, l'assicuriamo, che la conservazione della Nostra vita, la quale ha ella tanto a cuore, è desiderata da noi particolarmente per lungamente corrispondere con pienezza di paterna dilezione, e fargliene sperimentar gli effetti in ogni campo. Ed alla Maestà Vostra diamo con tutto l'animo l'apostolica benedizione. Data Romæ, apud Sanctum Petrum, die 31 martii 1668, pontificatus Nostri anno primo.

Clarissime,

Le baume envoyé à Nous par Votre Majesté, et l'affection particulière qui l'accompagne, a été estimé par Nous, que Nous ne pouvons pas Nous conformer au sentiment de Votre Majesté, qui, d'une manière encore plus courtoise, a voulu moins le considérer et a essayé se cacher et que cela venait de sa main. De cela, Nous ne pouvons jamais rien recevoir qui ne soit pas d'une grande valeur pour Nous. Durchlauchtigste Fru,

Den balsam som Ers Majestät Oss sänt, och den särskilda tillgivenhet, som åtföljer den, har av Oss så uppskattats att Vi icke kan anpassa Oss efter Ers Majestäts känsla, som med ett ännu hövligare sätt velat anse det mindre och  försökte gömma Er och att den kom från Er hand. Härav kan Vi aldrig ta emot något som inte är av stort värde för Oss. Så tacker Vi Ers Majestät för det vänligaste bevis som Ni har givit Oss i detta på Er tillgivenhet, försäkrande Er att bevarandet av Vårt liv, som Ni har så mycket på hjärtat, är särskilt önskvärt av Oss för att i längden korrespondera med full faderlig tillgivenhet och att låta Er uppleva effekterna därav vid varje tillfälle. Och Vi ger helhjärtat Vår apostoliska välsignelse till Ers Majestät. Givet i Rom, vid Peterskyrkan, den 31 mars 1668, under det första året av Vårt pontifikat.

English translation (my own):

Most Illustrious Lady,

The balm sent to Us by Your Majesty, and the particular affection that accompanies it, has been esteemed by Us, that We cannot conform to the sentiment Your Majesty, who, with an even more courteous manner, has wanted to consider it less and tried to hide yourself and that it came from your hand. From this We can never receive anything that is not of great value to Us. So, thanking Your Majesty for the kindest proof you have given Us in this of your affection, We assure you that the preservation of Our life, which you have so much at heart, is particularly desired by Us in order to correspond at length with full paternal affection, and to let you experience the effects at every opportunity. And We wholeheartedly give Our apostolic blessing to Your Majesty. Given at Rome, at St. Peter's, March 31, 1668, in the first year of Our pontificate.
