Och beder Eders Majestät jag i det övriga att Eders Majestät behagade visserligen tro det jag alltid skall göra min högsta flit att vara Eders Majestät till behag, eftersom jag ock däremot vill förmoda att Eders Majestät ock på dess sida varder uti dess moderliga affektion emot mig och mitt Rike alltid kontinuerandes, och således mig orsak och tillfälle givandes min sonkärliga intention och goda hjärtelag i själva verket att visa och betyga. Madame ma très chère Mère,
Comme la bonne prospérité de Votre Majesté m'a toujours été chère, et que j'ai fait avec joie tout ce qui était en mon pouvoir pour y contribuer, je ne puis donc refuser à Votre Majesté ce que j'ai touché et rappelé en égale mesure dans certains de mes lettres précédentes, comment j'ai appris à contre-cœur l'une ou l'autre chose du côté de Votre Majesté, depuis laquelle un certain temps s'est maintenant écoulé et qui pourrait bien être capable de me faire, avec mon respect filial et mon obligation envers Votre Majesté, avoir à mes actions et conseils reflètent aussi la sécurité et le bien-être de mon royaume, et je dois décréter et promulguer quelque chose qui ne serait pas entièrement au plaisir de Votre Majesté, dans lequel je suis néanmoins assuré que j'ai utilisé la modération et la clémence qui peuvent non seulement gagner un bon mot d'éloge de tout le monde, mais aussi probablement de Votre Majesté elle-même, et qui pourrait convenir à son bon contentement.
Je considère cependant qu'il n'est pas nécessaire d'en répéter les détails, car l'envoyé extraordinaire et premier lieutenant de Votre Majesté, le noble et vertueux Bernhard Rosenbach, effectue actuellement son voyage d'ici à Votre Majesté, et il pourra donc faire à Votre Majesté un rapport pertinent et un compte rendu de tout, c'est pourquoi je m'y réfère aussi dans cette mesure, ne doutant pas que, comme il a montré toute la diligence et la fidélité au service de Votre Majesté dans son administration, il démettra aussi maintenant, bien et dûment cette sommation.
Et je prie Votre Majesté pour le reste qu'il plaise à Votre Majesté de croire que je ferai toujours de mon mieux pour plaire à Votre Majesté, car je veux aussi supposer que Votre Majesté aussi de son côté continuera toujours dans son affection maternelle envers moi et mon royaume, et elle me donnera ainsi la raison et l'occasion de montrer et de témoigner mon intention filiale et mon bon cœur dans les actes. my dearly beloved Lady Mother,
As Your Majesty's good prosperity has always been dear to me, and I have gladly done all that has been in my power to contribute to its attainment, I therefore cannot withhold from Your Majesty what I have touched and remembered in equal measure in some of my previous letters, how I have unwillingly learned of one or another thing on Your Majesty's side, since which some time has now passed and which could well be capable of causing me to, along with my filial respect and obligation towards Your Majesty, have to in my actions and counsels also reflect on the security and welfare of my kingdom, and I must decree and enact something which would not be entirely to Your Majesty's pleasure, in which I am nevertheless assured that I have used the moderation and leniency which may not only win a good word of praise from everyone, but also probably from Your Majesty yourself, and which could agree to your good contentment.
I consider it, however, unnecessary to repeat the particulars of this, as Your Majesty's extraordinary envoy and first lieutenant, the noble and virtuous Bernhard Rosenbach, is now making his journey from here to Your Majesty, and he therefore will be able to make Your Majesty a pertinent report and account of everything, wherefore I also refer thereto to that extent, not doubting that, as he has shown all diligence and fidelity to Your Majesty's service in his administration, he will also now, well and duly dismiss this summons.
And I beg Your Majesty for the rest that it please Your Majesty to believe that I shall always do my best to be of pleasure to Your Majesty, for I also want to suppose that Your Majesty also on your side will always continue in your motherly affection towards me and my kingdom, and you will thus give me reason and opportunity to show and testify my filial intention and good heart in deed.
