Venendo in Polonia p[er] Suoi affari il P[ad]re Priore Hacki Polacco dell Ordine Cisterciense, che è vno de' miei Cappellani in q[ues]te parti hò Stimato bene di valermi di lui p[er] communicare, e racommandare à V. S. un negozio di tanta importanza confidenza quanto è grande l'importanza di esso. E mi Sono risoluta di metterla nelle mani di V. S. principalm[en]te p[er] l'intenzione, che hò di dipendere nel trattarlo intieram[en]te da i uoleri della Santità Sua come più chiaram[ent]e Scorgerà ella dall'Jnstruzione data al med[esim]o P[ad]re, et anche p[er]che richiedendo vna condotta di molto giudizio auuedim[en]to e destrezza Jo sono p[er]suasa poiche la S[anti]tà Sua hà eletta V. Venendo in Polonia per suoi affari il padre priore Hacki, polacco del'Ordine cistercense, che è uno de' miei cappellani in queste parti, ho stimato bene di valermi di lui per comunicare e racomandare a Vostra Serenità un negozio di tanta confidenza quanto è grande l'importanza di esso; e mi sono risoluta di metterla nelle mani di Vostra Serenità, principalmente per l'intenzione che ho di dipendere nel trattarlo intieramente dai voleri della Santità Sua, come più chiaramente scorgerà ella dall'instruzione data al medesimo padre, ed anche perché, richiedendo una condotta di molto avvedimento e destrezza, io sono persuasa poiché la Santità Sua ha eletta Vostra Serenità per codesto impiego, concorrano in lei tutte quelle parti che si ricevano per maneggiare un'affare di questa sorte come si deve ed in maniera da far conoscere quanto di vantaggio con venga stimare il valor suo e quanto io dovrò esserle tenuta dell'opera ch'ella si sarà compiaciuta di contribuire per il buon successo del mio pensiero, quale io racomando a Vostra Serenità con tutta quella maggior vivezza ch'ella può immaginarsi e con ogni confidenza nell'autorità e nella cortese volontà sua, rimettendo però tutto con pienissima tranquillità d'animo alla providenza e disposizione divina.
Nel resto, io mi riporto all'instruzione che il padre ha ordine di comunicarle ed a quanto egli le aggiungere in voce, pregando Vostra Serenità a prestargli intiera fede ed a dargli quegl'ordini ch'ella stimerà opportuni, nell'esecuzione de' quali non mancherà egli certo di prontezza e di puntualità ed al merito di Vostra Serenità, augurandola ogni vera prosperità.
Io gli ho date alcune altre lettere credenziali per prelati e senatori di Polonia, ma senza soprascritta, perché Vostra Serenità possa destinarle a quelli che ella giudicherà che siano veramente per favorire e contribuire all'intento con farvi mettere il nome e cognome loro e con prescrivere al padre (come si dovrà), comportare con essi e con altri in questa negoziazione, ecc.

Lorsque le père prieur Hacki, membre polonais de l'Ordre cistercien et l'un de mes aumôniers dans ces régions, est venu en Pologne pour affaires, j'ai jugé préférable de profiter de son intervention pour communiquer et recommander à Votre Sérénité une affaire d'une telle confidentialité qu'elle est d'une telle importance; et j'ai résolu de le remettre entre les mains de Votre Sérénité, principalement parce que j'entends m'en remettre entièrement aux désirs de Sa Sainteté pour le traiter, comme elle le verra plus clairement par les instructions données au même père, et aussi parce que, exigeant une conduite de grande finesse et habileté, je suis persuadée que comme Sa Sainteté a choisi Votre Sérénité pour cette charge, toutes les parties qui sont reçues pour traiter une affaire de ce genre y concourent comme il se doit et de manière à faire connaître combien d'avantage on doit en estimer le prix et combien je lui serai obligée du travail qu'il lui plaira de contribuer pour le bon succès de ma pensée, que je recommande à Votre Sérénité avec toute la plus grande vivacité qu'elle peut imaginer et avec toute confiance en sa autorité et volonté courtoise, soumettant tout en attendant avec la plus pleine tranquillité d'esprit à la providence et disposition divines.
Au reste, je me réfère aux instructions que le père a ordre de vous communiquer et à ce qu'il ajoute de bouche, priant Votre Sérénité de lui donner pleine foi et de lui donner les ordres qu'elle jugera à propos, dans l'exécution desquels il ne manquera certainement pas de promptitude et de ponctualité et au mérite de Votre Sérénité, lui souhaitant toute vraie prospérité.
Je lui ai donné d'autres lettres de créance pour les prélats et sénateurs de Pologne, mais sans suscription, afin que Votre Sérénité puisse les assigner à ceux qu'elle jugera être vraiment en état de favoriser et de contribuer à l'intention en y faisant mettre leur nom et prénom et en prescrivant au père (comme il faut) comment il faut se comporter envers eux et envers les autres dans cette négociation, etc.

Kiedy ojciec przeor Hacki, polski członek Zakonu Cystersów, który jest jednym z moich kapelanów w tych stronach, przybył do Polski w interesach, uznałam, że najlepiej będzie skorzystać z jego pomocy, aby przekazać i polecić Waszej Wysokości sprawę tak poufną, jak jest ona wielkiej wagi; i postanowiłam powierzyć ją Waszej Wysokości, głównie dlatego, że zamierzam całkowicie polegać na życzeniach Jego Świątobliwości przy jej rozpatrywaniu, jak zobaczy jaśniej z instrukcji udzielonych temu samemu ojcu, a także dlatego, że wymagając postępowania wielkiej przenikliwości i umiejętności, jestem przekonana, że skoro Jego Świątobliwość wybrał Waszą Wysokość na to stanowisko, wszystkie te części, które są otrzymywane do rozpatrywania sprawy tego rodzaju, zgadzają się w niej tak, jak powinny i w sposób, który pokazuje, jak wielką korzyść należy ocenić jej wartość i jak bardzo byłbym zobowiązany Tobie za pracę, którą zechce wnieść dla dobrego powodzenia mojej myśli, którą polecam Waszej Wysokości z całą największą ochotą, jaką może sobie wyobrazić, i z całkowitym zaufaniem do swojego autorytetu i uprzejmej woli, poddając wszystko w międzyczasie z najspokojniejszym umysłem boskiej opatrzności i usposobieniu.
W pozostałych kwestiach odnoszę się do instrukcji, które ojciec nakazał ci przekazać i do tego, co dodaje ustnie, prosząc Waszą Wysokość o pełne zaufanie i wydanie mu tych poleceń, które uznasz za stosowne, w wykonaniu których z pewnością nie zawiedzie pod względem szybkości i punktualności, a na zasługi Waszej Wysokości. Życzę mu wszelkiej prawdziwej pomyślności.
Dałam mu kilka innych listów uwierzytelniających dla prałatów i senatorów Polski, ale bez podpisu, aby Wasza Wysokość mógł je przekazać tym, których uzna za rzeczywiście w stanie przysłużyć się temu zamiarowi i przyczynić się do niego, umieszczając tam ich imię i nazwisko oraz nakazując ojcu (jak powinien), jak należy się wobec nich i wobec innych w tych negocjacjach itd.

När faderprior Hacki, en polsk medlem av cistercienserorden, som är en av mina präster i dessa trakter, kom till Polen i affärer, ansåg jag att det var bäst att begagna mig av honom för att kommunicera och rekommendera till Ers Durchlauchtighet en fråga av sådan konfidentialitet som är dess stora betydelse; och jag har bestämt mig för att lägga den i händerna på Ers Durchlauchtighet, huvudsakligen därför att jag avser att helt och hållet vara beroende av Hans Helighets önskemål när jag hanterar den, vilket Ni tydligare kommer att se av instruktionerna som givits till samme fadern, och även därför att jag, som kräver ett uppförande av stor klurighet och skicklighet, är övertygad om att eftersom Hans Helighet har valt Ers Durchlauchtighet för denna position, så överensstämmer alla de delar som tas emot för att hantera ett ärende av detta slag som det borde och på ett sätt för att göra känt hur stor fördel man bör uppskatta dess värde och hur mycket jag bör vara skyldig Er för det arbete som det kommer att behaga Er att bidra till min tankes goda framgång, vilket jag rekommenderar till Ers Durchlauchtighet med all den största livlighet Ni kan tänka Er och med all förtröstan på Er auktoritet och artiga vilja, emellertid underkastande allt gudomlig försyn och anordning med största lugn.
För övrigt hänvisar jag mig till instruktionerna som fadern har befallningen om att kommunicera till Er och till vad han tillför muntligen, bedjande Ers Durchlauchtighet att ge honom full tro och att ge honom de befallningar som Ni anser lämpliga, i vars verkställande han säkerligen inte kommer att misslyckas i snabbhet och punktlighet och till Ers Durchlauchtighets förtjänst, önskande Er all sann framgång.

When Father Prior Hacki, a Polish member of the Cistercian Order, who is one of my chaplains in these parts, came to Poland on business, I thought it best to avail myself of him to communicate and recommend to Your Serenity a matter of such confidentiality as is its great importance; and I have resolved to place it in the hands of Your Serenity, principally because I intend to depend entirely on the wishes of His Holiness in handling it, as you will see more clearly from the instructions given to the same Father, and also because, requiring a conduct of great shrewdness and skill, I am persuaded that as His Holiness has chosen Your Serenity for this position, all those parts that are received to handle a matter of this kind concur therein as it should and in a manner to make known how much advantage one should estimate its value and how much I should be obliged to you for the work that it will please you to contribute for the good success of my thought, which I recommend to Your Serenity with all the greatest liveliness that you can imagine and with every confidence in your authority and courteous will, submitting everything in the meantime with the fullest tranquility of mind to divine providence and disposition.
For the rest, I refer to the instructions that the Father has orders to communicate to you and to what he adds by mouth, begging Your Serenity to give him full faith and to give him those orders which you deem appropriate, in the execution of which he will certainly not fail in promptness and punctuality and to Your Serenity's merit, I wishing you every true prosperity.
I have given him some other letters of credence for the prelates and senators of Poland, but without superscription, so that Your Serenity can assign them to those whom you judge to be truly in a position to favour and contribute to the intent by having their name and surname put there and by prescribing to the Father (as you should) how to behave towards them and towards others in this negotiation, etc.
