Det tillstånd i vilket mina affärer är förpliktar mig till någon reform, och såsom Er tjänst är inte längre nödvändig för mig, jag kommer härmed att befria Er från den, ge Er hela resignation och frihet att söka Er lycka på annat håll; det är dock underförstått att Ni fortfarande kommer att vara skyldig att svara för den tid som lagts ner på Era anställningar, ifall något skulle begäras av Er för min räkning eller krävas från Er. Det är också nödvändigt att troget överlämna alla handlingar, brev och originalpapper, eller kopior som tillhör mig, och till min sekreterare, eller till min handelsplats i Sverige, till guvernören för mina underhållsländer, herr Olivekrantz, eller till vem han kommer att beställa. Lyd detta, och Gud välsigne Er.

The state in which my affairs are obliges me to some reform, and your service being no longer necessary to me, I will hereby release you from it, giving you entire resignation and freedom to seek your fortune elsewhere; it is understood, however, that you will still be obliged to answer for the time spent on your employments, in case anything should be asked of you on my behalf, or claimed from you. It is also necessary to deliver faithfully to the governor of my domains, Lord Olivekrantz, or to whom he will order, all the acts, letters and original papers, or copies belonging to me, and to my secretary, or to my trading post in Sweden. Obey this, and God bless you.
