Emedan nu avskeden äro [nu] allaredo underskrivna och förseglade av mediatoren och bägge sidors kommissarier och nu allting beror på ratifikationerna, pacta och eljest innehålla att en av Riksens Råd med en sekreterare på varje sidan skulle mötas åt på gränsen vid Markaryd till den 13 septembris nu nästkommande, havandes med sig förberörda pakters ratification; varföre, där så vore att I, eftersom i traktaten anno 1612 är skett, hava låtit skriva tvenne originalia av avskedet, då begäre Vi nådigast att I ville försända Oss strax det ena tillhanda, att Vi så mycket vissare att det korrekt är måge kunna i tid förfärdiga låta ratifikationen efter den förra formen, såframt eljest något nytt projekt nu däröver av Eder avfattat vore och den nedsända; så att I, herr Thure Bielke, som Vi förordnat have med samma Vår ratifikation på gränsen till Markaryd att förresa och den, eftersom pakterna det förmå, överleverera och emottaga den danska ratifikationen, den Vi förmode skall under kungens i Danmarks hand och sekret i lika måtto utan något vingel och inkast av honom bliva Eder igen tillställt; då ock sekreteraren Israel Israelsson skall vara Eder därhän följaktig, eftersom I detta härnäst hava Vår vidare order att förvänta.

Eljest have Vi ock med denna post låtit Vår order avgå såväl till fältmarskalken herr Gustaf Horn som alla andra höga officianter och landshövdingar uti provincierna vid gränserna, att de innehålla med fientlig aktualitet, såsom ock med förra posten sänt bemälde fältmarskalk lista och förslag på militien, vad för folk därav nu skall översändas åt Tyskland till rekrye[r], hurusom det övriga folket skall bliva lagt på befästningarna så i Halland som ock de andra orter uti garnisoner samt vad folk som hem förlovas skall, eftersom ock Eder då en kort förteckning av samma Vårt förslag tillskickad blev, i den mening att I med fältmarskalken däröver korrespondera skole och så I som han låte Oss med forderligste förnimma om något kunde vara därvid att påminna.

Uti det övriga, eftersom I uti Eder skrivelse allenast kortligen mentionera Eder ville med nästa post göra Oss en utförlig relation huruvida I med de statiska ambassadörer komna äro, så vele Vi den förvänta; och Eder kan Vårt nådiga betänkande däröver förnimma låte, befallandes, etc.

Notre faveur spéciale, etc. Nous, féaux hommes et commissaires du traité de paix danois, avons reçu, avant-hier par la poste ordinaire, votre lettre, datée de Söderåkra le 16 du courant, contenant la copie de la conclusion et du décret du traité, que Nous et Notre très cher Conseil du Royaume avons fait lire. Nous avons trouvé tous ses articles, rédigés par vos soins, à Notre entière satisfaction, ainsi qu'à l'honneur, à la réputation et au bien-être du Royaume et du Nôtre, ce que Nous reconnaissons et comprenons avec toute Notre grâce royale. Nous Nous réjouissons également grandement qu'un résultat aussi heureux et pacifique ait été obtenu pour ledit traité grâce à la bénédiction de Dieu et à vos négociations minutieuses.

Étant donné que les déclarations sont désormais signées et scellées par le médiateur et les commissaires des deux parties, et que tout dépend maintenant des ratifications, des pactes et autres points, un conseiller, accompagné d'un secrétaire de chaque côté, devrait se réunir à la frontière de Markaryd le 13 septembre prochain, muni de la ratification des pactes en question; par conséquent, si vous possédiez, depuis la conclusion du traité de 1612, deux exemplaires originaux de la déclaration, Nous vous prions instamment de bien vouloir Nous en envoyer un immédiatement, afin que Nous puissions Nous assurer de son exactitude et préparer la ratification en temps voulu et conformément à la version originale, à moins que vous n'ayez déjà élaboré et transmis un nouveau projet; afin que vous, M. Thure Bielke, à qui Nous avons ordonné d'apporter Notre ratification, vous rendiez à la frontière de Markaryd et, puisque les pactes le permettent, remettiez et receviez la ratification danoise, que Nous supposons vous être envoyée à nouveau sous la signature et le sceau du roi du Danemark, de la même manière et sans aucune hésitation ni interférence de sa part; le secrétaire Israël Israëlsson vous y accompagnera également, car vous recevrez ensuite Notre prochain ordre.

Au reste, Nous avons également transmis Notre ordre avec ce courrier au feldmaréchal, M. Gustave Horn, ainsi qu'à tous les autres hauts fonctionnaires et gouverneurs des provinces frontalières, qui connaissent une actualité hostile. De même, avec le courrier précédent, Nous avons adressé audit feldmaréchal une liste et une proposition concernant la milice, quels hommes devraient être envoyés en Allemagne comme recrues; comment le reste des effectifs devrait être affecté aux fortifications de Halland et des autres localités en garnison; et quels hommes devraient être autorisés à rentrer chez eux. Puisque vous Nous avez également transmis une brève liste de Notre même proposition, Nous vous suggérons d'en discuter avec le feldmaréchal et de Nous informer tous deux, dans les plus brefs délais, de tout élément à préciser.

Au reste, puisque dans votre lettre vous mentionnez seulement brièvement que vous souhaitez Nous donner un compte rendu détaillé dans votre prochain courrier d'avancement de vos relations avec les ambassadeurs des États, Nous Nous attendons à le recevoir; et vous pouvez être apprendre Notre gracieuse considération à cet égard, vous recommendant, etc.

Our especial favour, etc. We have, faithful men and commissioners to the Danish peace treaty, received, the day before yesterday through the ordinary post, your letter, dated Söderåkra on the 16th of this month, and therein the copy of the conclusion and the decree of the treaty, which We and Our well-beloved Council of the Realm have had read, and We have found all its articles written by you to be to Our gracious pleasure, as well as to Our and the Realm's honour, reputation and welfare, which We acknowledge and understand with all royal grace, as We also greatly rejoice over it, that such a happy and peaceful outcome of the said treaty has been achieved through the blessing of God and through your careful negotiating.

Since the declarations are now already signed and sealed by the mediator and the commissioners of both sides, and now everything depends on the ratifications, pacts and other content that one of the councilmen, with a secretary on each side, should meet on the border at Markaryd on this coming September 13, having with them the ratification of the pacts in question; wherefore, if it were so that you, since the treaty in 1612 was made, have had two originals of the declaration written, then We most graciously desire that you would send Us one immediately, so that We may be more certain that it is correct and so that We may be able to have the ratification prepared in time and in accordance with the former form, unless otherwise some new project has now been drawn up by you and sent down; so that you, Lord Thure Bielke, whom We have ordered to have with you Our ratification, to travel to the border at Markaryd and, since the pacts allow it, to deliver and receive the Danish ratification, which We assume will be sent to you again under the hand and seal of the King of Denmark in the same way without any hesitation or interference from him; then also the secretary Israel Israelsson will follow you there, since next to this you will now have Our further order to expect.

For the rest, We have also sent Our order with this post to the field marshal Lord Gustaf Horn, as well as to all other high officials and governors in the provinces on the borders, that they contain with hostile actuality, as We have also with the previous post sent the said field marshal a list and proposition for the militia as to what kind of people from it should now be sent to Germany as recruits, how the rest of the people should be placed on the fortifications both in Halland and the other places in garrisons, and what people should be given leave to go home, since you also then have sent a short list of Our same proposition, in the opinion that you should correspond with the field marshal about it and that both you and he should let Us know with at the soonest opportunity if there might be anything to remind about.

For the rest, since in your letter you only briefly mention that you want to give Us a detailed relation in the next post of how far you have come with the States' ambassadors, We want to expect it; and you can will learn Our gracious consideration on this, We commending you, etc.
