The letter:
Brussels, Nov. 6, 1655. [N. S.]
... The queen Christina, who is a catholic in her heart, is to make public profession there of at Inspruck; and the pope will present her in the quality of a queen. He is sending four nuncios to her, to meet her upon the confines of the ecclesiastical territories, and the cardinals de Medici and Hesse two miles from Rome.
With modernised spelling:
Brussels, November 6, 1655. [N. S.]
... The Queen Kristina, who is a Catholic in her heart, is to make public profession thereof at Innsbruck; and the Pope will present her in the quality of a queen. He is sending four nuncios to her to meet her upon the confines of the Ecclesiastical territories, and the Cardinals de' Medici and Hesse two miles from Rome.
Reconstruction of the French original (my own translation):
Bruxelles, le 6 novembre 1655. [Nouveau style.]
Swedish translation (my own):
Bryssel, den 6 november 1655. [Nya stilen.]
Above: Kristina.
