Excerpt from intelligence letter on Kristina's arrival at Loreto, dated December 22, 1655/January 1, 1656 (New Style)

They write from Rome that the queen Christina is arrived at Loretto; where the lord Gentilly, who is governor of that place, shewed her all possible kindness; from whence after some few days rest, it is supposed she will pursue her journey to Rome, where great preparations have been made for her reception. ...

With modernised spelling:

Paris, January 1, 1655/6. [N. S.]

French translation (my own):

Paris, le 1er janvier 1655/6. [Nouveau style.]
On écrit de Rome que la reine Christine est arrivée à Lorette, où le seigneur Gentilli, qui est gouverneur de cette place, lui a montré toutes les bontés possibles; d'où, après quelques jours de repos, on suppose qu'elle poursuivra son voyage vers Rome, où de grands préparatifs ont été faits pour la recevoir. ...

Swedish translation (my own):

Paris, den 1 januari 1655/6. [Nya stilen.]
De skriver från Rom att drottningen Kristina är anlänt till Loreto, där signor Gentilli, som är ståthållare på den platsen, visade henne all möjlig vänlighet; varifrån, efter några dagars vila, det antas att hon kommer att fortsätta sin resa till Rom, där stora förberedelser har gjorts för hennes mottagande. ...
