Excerpt from intelligence letter on Kristina's lodgings in Brussels, dated December 30, 1654/January 9, 1655 (New Style)

Source:

A Collection of the State Papers of John Thurloe, Esq;, volume 3, page 54, published by Thomas Birch, 1742; original at the University of Michigan

... Count Egmond is turned out of his house, to lodge the queen of Sweden in it, and could not prevail for one quarter of it for himself. ...

With modernised spelling:

Brussels, the 9th of January, 1655. [N. S.]
... Count Egmont is turned out of his house, to lodge the Queen of Sweden in it, and could not prevail for one quarter of it for himself. ...

French translation (my own):

Bruxelles, le 9 janvier 1655. [Nouveau style.]
... Le comte d'Egmont est chassé de sa maison pour y loger la reine de Suède, et n'a pu en obtenir le quart pour lui-même. ...

Swedish translation (my own):

Bryssel, den 9 januari 1655. [Nya stilen.]
... Greve Egmont har blivit utvisad från sitt hus för att hysa Sveriges drottning där och kunde inte få en fjärdedel av det för sig själv. ...

Above: Kristina.

Above: Lodewijk Filips (Louis-Philippe), Count of Egmont.
