Paris, the 23rd of August, 1656. [N. S.]

SIR,
... This night your college all set forth to meet the queen of Sweden, and have their harangues prepared to receive her. She comes instructed from his holiness concerning the general peace, which we now here begin to have hopes of.

With modernised spelling:

Monsieur,

... Cette nuit, votre Collège est parti à la rencontre de la reine de Suède et a préparé ses harangues pour la recevoir. Elle vient des instructions de Sa Sainteté concernant la paix générale, que nous commençons maintenant à espérer ici. ...

Swedish translation (my own):

... Denna natt gav Er Kollegium alla upp för att möta Sveriges drottning och förbereda sina haranger för att ta emot henne. Hon kommer instruerad från Hans Helighet angående den allmänna freden, som vi nu här börjar hysa förhoppningar om. ...
