Cette horrible catastrophe en Europe en fera naître mille autres, qu'on ne peut ni penser, ni prévoir; & je ne trouve aucune sûreté pour moi, ni à Hambourg, ni autre part en Allemagne. Après ce que j'ai vu arriver en Hollande, j'estime qu'il n'y a plus rien d'impossible au Monde.

Swedish translation (my own):

Denna fruktansvärda katastrof i Europa kommer att föda tusen andra, som man varken kan tänka på eller förutse; och jag finner ingen trygghet för mig själv, varken i Hamburg eller någon annanstans som helst i Tyskland. Efter det jag såg hända i Holland tror jag att det inte finns något omöjligt i världen längre.

English translation (my own):

This horrible catastrophe in Europe will give birth to a thousand others, which one can neither think of nor foresee; and I find no security for myself, either in Hamburg or anywhere else in Germany. After what I saw happen in Holland, I believe that there is nothing impossible in the world anymore.
