Répondez aux politesses de l'Ambassadeur de Hollande comme il convient, en l'assurant que je compatis infiniment aux disgraces de sa Republique. Au-reste, j'ai appris avec bien du plaisir que les chevaux ont été agréés & estimés plus que ceux d'Espagne.

Swedish translation (my own):

Svara på den holländske ambassadörens artigheter när det är lämpligt, försäkrande honom om att jag sympatiserar oändligt med hans Republiks vanära. I övrigt har jag med stor glädje fått veta att hästarna blivit godkända och uppskattade mer än de från Spanien.

English translation (my own):

Respond to the courtesies of the Dutch ambassador as appropriate, assuring him that I sympathise infinitely with the disgraces of his Republic. For the rest, I have learned with great pleasure that the horses have been approved and esteemed more than those from Spain.
