Ha V. S. potuto vedere in più lettere mie con quanta indifferenza io aspettassi l'elettione del re di Polonia, e quanto soddisfatta io mi sia sempre dichiarata seco della prudentissima condotta che ella ha usato in questo affare, così tiene V. S. appresso di sè le espressioni che io le ho reiterate più volte dell'obbligazione e della memoria che era per conservarle eternamente di quanto ha operato in mio servigio qualunque fosse stato l'evento onde può V. S. raccogliere con qual resignatione d'animo abbia ricevuta la nuova della seguita eletione in persona del duca Wisgzioweschi, et assicurarsi mai di quanto le devo, come le farò conoscere in tutte le occasioni con le opere mie.
La ringrazio intanto del sentimento che ha voluto mostrarmi per tal accidente, e quanto alle lettere et ogni altra scrittura concernente il negotio, il signor cardinale Azzolino le scriverà quello che stimerà bene di fare, come pure quelle che le saranno consegnate d'ordine mio dal gran priore, rimettendomi però ai sensi dell'E. S. resto augurando a V. S.

Votre Sérénité a pu voir dans plusieurs de mes lettres avec quelle indifférence j'attendais l'élection du roi de Pologne, et combien je me suis toujours déclaré satisfait auprès d'elle de la conduite très prudente qu'elle a utilisée en cette matière, ainsi Votre Sérénité tient auprès d'elle les expressions que j'ai réitérées à plusieurs reprises de l'obligation et du souvenir qui devait la conserver éternellement de ce qu'elle a fait à mon service, quel qu'en soit l'événement, avec lesquelles Votre Sérénité peut recueillir avec quelle résignation d'âme qu'elle a reçu la nouvelle de l'élection suivante en la personne du duc Wiśniowiecki, et pour s'assurer de ce que je lui dois, comme je le lui ferai connaître en toute occasion par mes ouvrages.
En attendant, je la remercie pour le sentiment qu'elle m'a témoigné à l'égard de cet accident, et quant aux lettres et tout autre écrit concernant l'affaire, le cardinal Azzolino lui écrira ce qu'il jugera bon de faire, ainsi que ceux qui lui seront livrée par mon ordre du grand prieur; cependant, suivant les instructions de Son Eminence, je reste en souhaitant Votre Sérénité.

Vous aurez pu voir par plusieurs de mes Lettres, avec combien d'indifférence j'ai attendu l'Election d'un Roi de Pologne, & combien je me suis déclarée être contente de la très-prudente conduite que vous avez tenue en cette rencontre. Je vous en tiendrai compte & en conserverai à jamais la mémoire, quel qu'en ait été l'événement. Vous pouvez comprendre, Monsieur, par-là, avec quelle tranquillité d'esprit j'ai reçu la nouvelle de l'Election faite en la Personne du Duc de Wiesnowiski, & vous assurer que je n'oublierai jamais les obligations que je vous ai, & que je vous ferai connoître en effet dans toutes les occasions. En attendant je vous remercie de la sensibilité que vous m'avez témoignée dans cet accident: & quant aux Lettres & toute autre écriture concernant cette Négociation, Monsieur le Cardinal Azzolino écrira ce qu'il estimera bon d'en faire, comme aussi des papiers qui vous seront consignés par mes ordres au Pére Prieur.

Jag skall ta hänsyn därtill och behålla minnet för alltid, oavsett händelse. Ni kan förstå av detta, monsignor, med vilken sinnesfrid jag mottog nyheten om valet som gjordes i hertigen av Wiśniowieckis person, och jag försäkrar Er att jag aldrig kommer att glömma de förpliktelser jag har och som jag faktiskt kommer att göra känd för Er vid alla tillfällen. Emellertid tackar jag Er för den känslighet Ni har visat mig i denna olycka; och beträffande breven och alla andra skrifter angående denna förhandling, skall kardinal Azzolino skriva vad han finner lämpligt att göra med dem, samt de papper som skall överlämnas till Er genom mina befallning till fadern prior.

I will take it into account and keep the memory forever, whatever the event. You can understand by this, Monsignor, with what peace of mind I received the news of the election made in the person of the Duke of Wiśniowiecki, and I assure you that I will never forget the obligations I have and which I will in fact make known to you on all occasions. In the meantime, I thank you for the sensibility you have shown me in this accident; and as for the letters and any other writing concerning this negotiation, Cardinal Azzolino will write what he sees fit to do with them, as well as the papers which will be consigned to you by my orders to the Father Prior.
