The memorandum:
La Reine desavoue toute réponse, ou contraire, ou différente de la présente.
I. Pour la Souveraineté, elle doit être entiérement à la Reine, pour récompenser S. M. de toutes les insultes, infractions, & injustices qu'on lui a fait souffrir si long-tems contre ses droits, & pour la mettre à l'avenir en sûreté contre de semblables insultes & préjudices; cette Souveraineté étant absolument nécessaire pour conserver lesdites Provinces dans leur neutralité, & pour mettre S. M. en état de pouvoir les cultiver, les améliorer, & les rendre après sa mort à la Couronne riches & florissantes.
II. Elles seront gouvernées au nom de S. M. la Reine sa vie durant, & après sa mort de la part du Roi & de la Suède.
III. La garantie de l'Empereur & de l'Empire pour ces Provinces, durera & subsistera jusqu'à deux années après la mort de la Reine, à condition que la Suède s'oblige aussi à rester, pendant cette époque, unie à l'Empereur & à l'Empire.
IV. La Reine s'oblige a y entretenir à ses dépens les fortifications & les garnisons, mieux que cela ne l'a jamais été sous les régnes des deux Rois Charles, & à garantir, qui ni l'Electeur de Brandebourg, ni d'autres ne les attaqueront, ni ne s'en empareront durant la vie de la Reine.
V. On pourroit encore convenir d'autres arrangemens, selon que la nécessité & le besoin l'exigera: mais outre les susdits, la Reine ne s'oblige à rien de plus à présent.
VI. Enfin elle s'attachera inséparablement, aux intérêts de l'Empire, & n'admettra aucune chose contraire aux Traités de Westphalie.
Je vois au-reste, qu'on a jugé qu'il valoit mieux que vous prissiez la qualité d'Envoyé Extraordinaire, & je suis bien aise que vous ayez résolu de suivre en cela leur conseil, qui est conforme à mon sentiment.
Quant au desir qu'on témoigne que je revienne en Suède, vous verrez dans votre Instruction comment y répondre, c'est de faire espérer 2120111821115911914591400266955504654 représentant pourtant avec modestie, que je ne puis pas y retourner sans qu'on m'accorde l'exercice de ma Religion, afin qu'ils coopérent à me le faire avoir.

Drottningen avvisar alla svar som antingen strider mot eller skiljer sig från det nuvarande.
I.
