... Vous verrez par l'Ecrit que j'adresse audit Pére, ce que j'ai trouvé bon de lui répondre sur les particularités qu'il a rapportées. Il me semble pourtant que ce Pére se mêle de parler avec des gens qui peut-être sont engagés pour d'autres, ou qui visent à un autre but, ou qui ont peur qu'ils n'y parviennent pas. Mais ce vous saurez y remédier à tems. On ne peut rien faire de plus ici, sinon d'attendre la fin; car à l'heure qu'il est, je crois que l'affaire sera finie de maniére ou d'autre. Quelle qu'en soit l'issue qu'il plaira à la Majesté Divine d'y donner, je vous serai infiniment obligée de votre conduite & de vos travaux, dont je suis très-contente, jugeant que l'on n'auroit jamais pu faire plus que vous n'avez fait.

Swedish translation (my own):

... Ni kommer att se av skrivelsen som jag riktar till ovannämnde fadern att jag tyckte det var gott att svara honom på de detaljerna som han rapporterade. Det förefaller mig dock som om denna fader blir involverad i att tala med människor som kan vara engagerade för andra, eller som siktar på ett annat mål, eller som är rädda att de inte kommer att uppnå det. Men Ni kommer att veta hur Ni skall avhjälpa det i sinom tid. Inget mer kan göras här, förutom att vänta på slutet; för just nu där det är tror jag att affären kommer att avslutas på ett eller annat sätt. Oavsett följden som den Gudomliga Majestätet vill ge, så skall jag vara Eder oändligt tacksam för Ert uppträdande och Ert arbete, som jag är mycket nöjd med, att bedöma att man aldrig skulle ha kunnat göra mer än Ni har gjort.

English translation (my own):

... You will see by the writing that I am addressing to the said Father that I thought it good to reply to him on the particulars that he reported. It seems to me, however, that this Father gets involved in talking with people who may be engaged for others, or who are aiming for another goal, or who are afraid that they will not achieve it. But you will know how to fix it in time. Nothing more can be done here, except to wait for the end; because at the moment where it is, I believe that the affair will be finished in one way or another. Whatever the outcome that the Divine Majesty will give, I will be infinitely grateful to you for your conduct and your work, of which I am very content, judging that one would never have been able to do more than you have done.
