Card[inal]e Azzol[ino] hò inteso con dispiacere ch'ella non sia sodisfatta del Padre Priore perche egli non Si contiene dentro i limiti degli ordini Suoi come Jo pure Strettissim[en]te gl'hò commandato di far. Onde V. S. hà op[er]ato prudentem[en]te à richiamarlo app[ress]o di Sè p[er] assicurargli che non proceda più auanti per adesso.

Dalla lettera di Vostra Serenità de' 6 del passato e dal signor cardinale Azzolino ho inteso con dispiacere ch'ella non sia soddisfatta del padre priore, perché egli non si contiene dentro i limiti degli ordini suoi, come io pure strettissimente gl'ho comandato di far; onde Vostra Serenità ha operato prudentemente a richiamarlo appresso di se per assicurargli che non proceda più avanti per adesso.
Io lascio di scriver sopra di ciò al padre medemo per non cagionargli disgusto e per non disanimarlo, come seguirebbe se vedesse ch'io avessi avuta notizia della mala soddisfazione c'ha data a Vostra Serenità del resto. Poiché al fatto non può rimediarsi bisogna aver patienza, perdonando al di lui zelo [...] mancamento; e, riportandomi a quel più che le verrà scritto da Sua Eminenza, auguro la Vostra Serenità, ecc.

J'ai appris avec déplaisir du Cardinal, que vous n'êtes pas satisfait du Pére Prieur, parce qu'il ne se tient pas dans les bornes que vous lui avez prescrites, & comme je lui ai commandé précisément. Vous avez donc fait fort prudemment de l'avoir rappellé, pour vous assurer qu'il n'aille pas à-présent plus avant dans l'affaire. Cependant je n'écrirai rien là-dessus à ce Pére, afin de ne le plus dégoûter & décourager, comme cela arriveroit infailliblement, s'il remarquoit que je fusse informée du peu de satisfaction qu'il vous a donnée. Et comme on ne peut pas remédier à ce qui a été fait, il faut avoir patience, & pardonner ce manquement au zéle qu'il a eu de vouloir bien faire.

Jag har med missnöje förnummit av kardinalen att Ni inte är nöjd med fadern prior, ty han inte håller sig inom de gränser som Ni har föreskrivit honom, och som jag har beordrat honom exakt. Så Ni var väldigt noga med att kalla honom tillbaka, för att se till att han inte gick vidare i frågan nu. Jag skall dock inte skriva något om det till denne Fader, för att inte avsky och avskräcka honom ytterligare, som ofelbart skulle ske, om han märkte att jag fick besked om den lilla tillfredsställelse han har givit Er. Och eftersom man inte kan råda bot på det som gjorts, måste man ha tålamod och förlåta denna brist på iver i att vilja göra gott.
English translation (my own):
I have learned with displeasure from the Cardinal that you are not satisfied with the Father Prior, because he does not keep within the bounds that you have prescribed for him, and as I have ordered him precisely. So you were very careful to call him back, to make sure he didn't go any further in the matter now. However, I will not write anything about it to this Father, so as not to disgust and discourage him further, as would infallibly happen, if he noticed that I was informed of the little satisfaction he has given you. And since one cannot remedy what has been done, one must have patience and forgive this lack of zeal in wanting to do well.

Au nonce, le 9 mars '69.
Par la lettre de Votre Sérénité du 6 du passé, ainsi que par Monseigneur le cardinal Azzolino, j'ai appris avec déplaisir qu'elle n'est pas satisfaite du père prieur, car il ne se tient pas dans les limites de ses ordres, ce que je lui avais aussi très strictement commandé de faire; Votre Sérénité a donc agi très prudemment en le rappelant, afin de lui assurer qu'il ne procédera pas davantage pour l'instant.
Je m'abstiens d'écrire à ce sujet au père lui-même, afin de ne point lui inspirer de dégoût ni le décourager, ce qui ne manquerait pas d'arriver s'il voyait que j'ai eu connaissance du peu de satisfaction qu'il a donnée à Votre Sérénité. Puisqu'il n'est possible de remédier à la chose, il convient d'avoir patience et de pardonner son manquement de zèle; et, m'en reportant à ce que Son Éminence l'écrira par ailleurs, je souhaite à Votre Sérénité, etc.

Z listu Waszej Wysokości z 6 ubiegłego miesiąca oraz od monsiniora kardynała Azzolino, z niezadowoleniem dowiedziałam się, że nie jest Wasza Wysokość zadowolony z ojca przeora, ponieważ nie wypełnia on swoich obowiązków, co zresztą bardzo surowo mu nakazałam. Wasza Wysokość roztropnie podjął działania w celu odwołania go, aby zapewnić go, że na razie nie podejmie dalszych działań.
Powstrzymuję się od pisania o tym do samego ojca, aby nie wzbudzić w nim wstrętu lub nie zniechęcić go, co by się stało, gdyby dowiedział się, że otrzymałam wiadomość o niezadowalającej satysfakcji, jaką okazał Waszej Eminencji. Från Ers Durchlauchtighets brev av den 6:e förra månaden och från monsignor kardinal Azzolino har jag med missnöje fått veta att Ni inte är nöjda med faderpriorn eftersom han inte håller sig inom ramen för sina ordrar, vilket jag också strängast har befallt honom att göra. Ers Durchlauchtighet har därför klokt nog arbetat för att kalla tillbaka honom för att försäkra honom om att han inte kommer att fortsätta vidare för tillfället.
Jag avstår från att skriva om detta till fadern själv, för att inte orsaka honom avsky eller modfälla honom, vilket skulle hända om han såg att jag hade fått nyheter om den dåliga tillfredsställelse han har givit Ers Durchlauchtighet. From Your Serenity's letter of the 6th of this past month and from Monsignor the Cardinal Azzolino, I have learned with displeasure that you are not satisfied with the Father Prior because he does not remain within the limits of his orders, as I have also most strictly commanded him to do; Your Serenity has therefore prudently worked to recall him in order to assure him that he will not proceed any further for now.
I refrain from writing about this to the Father himself, so as not to cause him disgust or disanimate [discourage] him, as would happen if he saw that I had received news of the bad satisfaction he has given to Your Serenity. Because the fact cannot be remedied, one must have patience, forgiving his lack of zeal; and, reporting myself to what further will be written to you by His Eminence, I wish Your Serenity, etc.
