Per Brahe's diary entry on Kristina's removal from Maria Eleonora, summer 1636

Source:

Tänkebok, efter dess i Skoklosters Bibliotek förvarade originala handskrift, page 43, by Per Brahe, published 1806

The diary entry:

English translation (my own):

... Her Majesty the Dowager Queen was often in conflict with the regency; and it was decided in the Council, and put into effect, that our Elected Queen and Lady should be put into the Countess Palatine's custody, and that the Dowager Queen should stay at her morning gift.

Above: Kristina.

Above: Maria Eleonora.

Above: Countess Palatine Katarina.

Note: morning gift = a gift, here in the form of property, given by a man to his wife the morning after their wedding in Germanic cultures.
